I am a fan of Los Tios and have been for years. The Alexandria. VA location has always been at the top of my list, and I've supported it for many years with their incredible food and great service. I honestly have to say that I was very disappointed with the Arlington, VA location. We were very displeased with our meals, they were not the usual Los Tios taste and quality, and the drinks were not what we were used to from the Alexandria location. We could tell that the bartender was substituting the liquor than we ordered for a cheaper brand. You can't fool people who know what they like to drink and have been drinking it for years, but we gave the bartender a pass on that. Please don't think that you're getting over on people because that's not cool.! Outside of the bartendinhg, the service was excellent, with a lot of checking in and wonderful welcoming smiles.This experience will not discourage us. We will continue to support Los Tios Grill, but only Alexandria, Mt. Vernon Ave. location.

To start the restaurant decor is dated and it tracks for being a hole in the wall vibe but I had faith the tacos and tequila would be authentic as the hole in wall spots tend to be. We were seated close enough to another table our chairs kept bumping eachothers and we had to do a weird slant angle to all fit. Unfortunately, the drinks we ordered were badly poured and extremely overpriced. When we complained to waiter he told us they couldnt do anything and just advised we ordered shots. So we did. The food took forever to come. When it arrived we all felt hungry still due to portion being small. My friend ordered shrimp taco and the cut the shrimp in half then have the audacity to tell her it was 4 jumbo shrimp inside taco but it was really only hust 2 whole shrimp cut down the middle. the waiter was not informative and the manager was not helpful. Don't waste your hard earned money or your precious taco Tuesday night on the fraud Mexican restaurantParking: Had to walk 4 blocks
