This was a very satisfying burger. The Lucky Bun burger had Gouda, arugula, and charred red onions. Very hearty. Complex flavors. And i love the malt vinegar mayonnaise that comes with the fries.
You're also in the environs of Union Market, which is fun.

Got the hot tiger bun. Very good sandwich, not as spicy as expected with three chilis listed on the menu.

I was really craving a hamburger, and I was so grateful that Lucky turned out to be a wonderful choice! The service was kind and attentive, making the experience even better. I'm already looking forward to trying the cocktails next time and hope they’re just as delightful.

Had such a great experience with Lucky Buns! There was a small mix-up with the delivery service, and instead of leaving me hanging, the branch head personally brought my order over. That level of care is rare these days. The burgers were made fresh again just for me—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely worth the wait. Not only is the food top notch, but the kindness and customer service really set them apart. Definitely my go-to burger spot from now on!

Food is deliciously unhealthy. Highly recommend the burgers and spicy chiken. Slurpy cocktails are boozy and tasty but on the pricey side. Must try in Union Market.

Chili cheese dog - perfect! Bun was great, dog was tasty. Chili, cheese, onion, and mustard all in the right proportions. Yummy!

needed a quick snack and this made me full. good crispy and warm fries with a japanese curry sauce on the side which was also pretty hot. pretty price-y but given the amount it was pretty reasonable. would love to get the fries crispier next time and very friendly staff as well.
I have never had such a good chicken sandwich before now! The spiciness was also perfect!

The burger wasn't very good and is not something I would purchase again. I did like the thick cut fires and the bravas sauce.
Also burger and fries came to about $30, a bit overpriced imo but that is the case on everything in union market 😜

Wow! This was my first time at Union Market and my first time eating at Lucky Buns and I was very much impressed with both. I had the Belly Bun and it was absolutely delicious! Quality fresh ingredients made for a burger that's the best I've had in a long time. I'll be back for sure.

Here’s why you should go to Lucky Buns and why their burgers are damn amazing…
1. A cheeseburger is mainly the quality of which is defined by the sum of its parts. The toasted sesame bun, homemade pickles, classic cheese, quality beef, crispy lettuce, fresh tomato, and spicy / tangy green chili combined to make a sum that surpasses the vast majority of burger joints in DC.
2. The burgers here are simple yet well-curated. The four primary options each have thought behind them and are assembled by knowledgable staff.
3. It got that “umph” factor. I called during a snow storm expecting it to be closed. Nah… Gus answered: “Yo. It’s Gus.” That was my first direct interaction point with the establishment. Strong start and it only got better from there.
Keep it up rockstars. Lucky Buns has the best burgers imo

Extremely juicy burger, packed with flavor. Staff were attentive even asking medium rare if close to medium or rare, it was a good detail.

I was hoping that this would be be better. I was not expecting barely a three-star meal.
The burgers are not cooked to order- at least not mine. I watched as a lady put a pre-cooked patty (2 of them) on the flat top along with some cooked bacon. I suspect it was pre cooked to medium rare and she brought my burgers to medium well. At least that was the plan.
The burger was medium at best and it was dry (pre-cooked, remember?)
The other thing was this was SO salty. I watched her salt and pepper the meat. Maybe this was the SECOND time this was done because I definitely tasted way more salt then I watched her put on. Wow.
The lady who took my order had to be distracted from her text messages to take my order also. But that’s just me. I was only able to eat because I was hungry. Way too salty.
