Lucky Buns at Union Market

I was hoping that this would be be better. I was not expecting barely a three-star meal.

The burgers are not cooked to order- at least not mine. I watched as a lady put a pre-cooked patty (2 of them) on the flat top along with some cooked bacon. I suspect it was pre cooked to medium rare and she brought my burgers to medium well. At least that was the plan.

The burger was medium at best and it was dry (pre-cooked, remember?)

The other thing was this was SO salty. I watched her salt and pepper the meat. Maybe this was the SECOND time this was done because I definitely tasted way more salt then I watched her put on. Wow.

The lady who took my order had to be distracted from her text messages to take my order also. But that’s just me. I was only able to eat because I was hungry. Way too salty.

Juicy , seasoned , perfectly cooked steak like Pattie’s of juicy creek stone farms beef. Draped in oozey cheeses goodness. Lucky buns sets the standard for burgers in dc and Beyond. Get here asap!

Uber Eats Order BC#100, IT WAS TERRIBLE WHEN I PLACED MY ORDER I ASKED FOR MY BURGER TO BE COOKED THROUGH I DON'T DO RAW, PINK, BLOODY MEAT, AND WHEN I RECEIVE MY ORDER I WAS DISAPPOINTED AGAIN BECAUSE IT DIDN'T CAME WITH A BUN THEREFORE I HAD TO FURNITURE MY OWN BUN FOR A HAMBURGER THAT I PURCHASE FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Excellent burger, one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. There was no option to cook the burger "medium", but, have no fear. I selected "cooked through" and it was a perfect medium. This will be my go-to for lunch when I'm in the office.

The burger was well-seasoned and flavorful this past Friday evening, but I was disappointed with the service. I ordered my burger medium, but it was rare inside. When I asked the manger about it, he said "that's our version of medium well" several times after I showed him the undercooked meat. While he finally agreed to re-cook it after a bit of back and forth, I did not appreciate the implication that I was being unreasonable.

Union Market is a unique experience. Lots of vendors, food, drink, and shops. It is very busy with seating inside and outside. Lucky Buns mostly burgers. Cooked to order. The service gentelman was not warm and friendly. I asked him what he recommended and he was annoyed. I ordered a burger and a drink. The drink frozen punch was a special. It was ok. The burger was cooked to my specifications but drenched in their signature sauce. This made it difficult to eat, due to the mess.
Since items are made to order you will have a wait at the counter My wait was 15 min. I also noted that the service gentelman explained to the people before me and after me that my number at the top of the sales slip would be called when my food was ready. Yet he did not do that for me.
I am not a native of DC and this place was pricy. Right on par with every other eatery in DC.
