French onion soup was delicious and Beef Bourgogne was terrific. Tried mussels another time and not great. Caramel brownie delicious.
The food was excellent. My steak was cooked precisely the way I asked, all the drinks were too specifications, and my friend said that the beef short ribs were the best he'd ever had in his life. The waitress was delightful.
Lyon hall has upper scale dining with high quality food, but the dining area is small and is adjacent to the bar. The noise level is twice what it should be for fine dining prices. The chairs are very uncomfortable and table are close together. The customer volume results in shoulder to shoulder waiting before being seated. We enjoy the food but not the experience.
Date night with my husband and we really enjoyed the winter menu — the broccoli soup was the standout for me. Kevin and the assistant waiters delivered outstanding service, and the vibes were perfect. Such a lovely evening and exactly what we needed after a challenging week
Lyon Hall never disappoints. They consistently have excellent food and fantastic service and fun cocktails. An all around awesome experience.
Excellent experience. The food, service, atmosphere were all great and as lovely and delicious as always. We never regret going to Lyon Hall. Thank you for a lovely birthday brunch. The only thing is the hostess and server forgot to do anything for the birthday guest....
Very good meal and service - only issue is that we sat upstairs which feels very isolated and afterthought and lacks the energy of the ground floor restaurant.
Definitely an Arlington Gem. I was with a group of 8 and all of our food was on time and really delicious.
Our favorite restaurant in Clarendon! The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. We each ordered the hanger steak frites. The steaks were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The wine by the glass selection is very good - I had the cabernet sauvignon and my husband had the cabernet franc. Both went perfectly with the steaks.
Girls’ Brunch Goals at Lyon Hall 🥂
We had an all-girls get-together during brunch, and it was amazing — as you can see by the spread! From flaky croissants, fresh donuts to perfectly poached eggs and bottomless mimosas, every dish looked and tasted like something straight out of a Parisian café. The vibe was lively yet comfortable — the kind of place where laughter fills the air without ever feeling too loud.
Lyon Hall nails that perfect mix of chic and cozy — sunlight pouring through the windows, clinking glasses, and the unmistakable Clarendon buzz. Service was friendly, the food was flawless, and the energy made the whole morning feel like a mini escape to Europe.
And let’s not forget their Happy Hour — one of the best in Arlington! The menu is full of gems, but my absolute favorite is the Thai mussels — spicy, aromatic, and totally addictive.
Whether it’s brunch with the girls or Happy Hour cocktails after work, Lyon Hall always hits the right note. 💖🥐🍾🦪✨

Lovely. Will most definitely return. Service very good. Food very tasteful and nicely presented.
First time in with my young adult kids (26,28). I requested a high top but decided to sit in the restaurant area because it seemed less crowded. The service was great! The food: mussels, steak frites, salmon, and pork schnitzel were delicious. We all wished we stayed in the high top section though because Happy Hour food and prices were not an option in the restaurant. My daughter wanted the beef short rib appetizer, and my son wasn't super hungry and wanted something lighter. We also missed out on the drink specials since we were in the restaurant and not near the bar. We will definitely be back and will take advantage of the awesome Happy Hour specials.
This is one of the best restaurants in Arlington area! With an upscale brasserie menu and a great beer and wine list and full bar. Fantastic happy hour (even on the weekend) including the best oysters and mussels we have had in the area! Great spot for brunch, bar sitting or date night.

Lyon Hall in Arlington is situated at the corner of Washington Boulevard and North Highland Street. This restaurant specializes in French brasserie cuisine and has a vibrant atmosphere that mirrors the lively spirit of Paris. Its menu features a variety of cocktails and beers that complement dishes such as charcuterie, filet medallions, mussels, and Bavarian pretzels. The restaurant offers brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner, with excellent service that enhances the overall experience.
I have been to Lyon hall twice before, both times for restaurant week, and their menu can’t be beat. Not only was it a deal, but the food was unbeatable. The bread is served fresh and warm with spreadable, salty butter. I started with the grilled octopus which was paired with arugula and a citrus. My boyfriend started with the tuna tartar and I tried it, which had crispy wontons chips seasoned and served with avocado and seaweed salad. The lobster roll bun was buttery, crispy, panini pressed with poppy seeds, and the lobster was fresh and juicy. My boyfriend got the NY strip, which was heavily seasoned (how we like it) and cooked medium rare to perfection. (It was a little fatty but for 12 oz of meat that can be expected)
We ate inside and enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the overall vibes. I always forget about this gem and need to remember to come more often!!
