My burger and fries were pretty good (except the bun was broken smh) but my girlfriend's steak was mostly fat and gristle and her fries were completely soggy. Our spicy margaritas were basically just juice. Oysters were good.
We enjoyed the food and amazing service by Lyndsey. He was very attentive and great service.
Great meal and great service--Makers Union is our neighborhood spot and if we are ever introducing someone to the area, this is our go-to spot.
The food was very delicious but my daughter's steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. The Mac and cheese appetizer needed more cheese and breadcrumbs. The calamari!! Also the salmon, chicken and waffles, and crab cake dinners were delicious. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our occasion. The seating was a bit awkward as we were back in a corner which made serving our dishes difficult and from only one side of the table, making him serve over us. With all that said, I would return. Very enjoyable!
Unfortunately the restaurant was out of fries, burgers, any sandwiches and chicken so it made for a tough night
It was a busy Sunday afternoon with lots of people coming from the Marine Corps Marathon. We had a reservation, but ended up getting there a bit early. The staff got us a table and were very courteous. The food was delicious. Loved the chicken wings and calamari we had as apps. The flat iron steak was a great post race celebration meal. Overall, great experience and food.

My favorite dish tonight was the Thai she crab soup I got to start. Dominic recommended it and it did not disappoint. Thank you makers union for a great night with my friends!

Unfortunately the service and the food was some of the worst we've seen in quite a while. The food was served cold we spent $200 and we bust our own table. The ambiance was good as we were watching a football game.
While the food and drinks are great the service is not. I have only sat at the bar so my review has nothing to do with table service.
The Cadillac margarita is amazing as long as the service well bartender doesn't make it. He shakes the float of grand mariner in the cocktail.
Tonight I had food at the bar for the first time the fish and chips which were delicious. The bartender never really checked in but made sure to ask the gentleman customers around me if everything was ok. Service is not great. I noticed he had a couple customers that he connected with that seem to be regulars. Maybe it's because I am not a regular or I am a female?

Food was great, and service was even better. Lindsey was our server and was phenomenal. He even made up some southern sweet tea for my husband. My favorite was the Brussel sprouts.

Possibly restaurant week wasn’t a fair representation but nothing about that meal made me want to go back. The chicken tender appetizer was fine but the steak was only so-so. Ordered medium rare, but was def on the rare side ( fine for me but other people might not be ok with that ) The most frustrating part tho was the hurried service, with our dessert brought out before we’d finished our main course.

Pretty good food, clean and comfy, with friendly and fast service. The coconut curry soup was outstanding, everything else was tasty.

A Five-Star Experience Rooted in Excellence and Integrity
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, it was clear that this establishment operates with a rare blend of hospitality, culinary mastery, and community-minded values. Our server, Matt, exemplified what it means to go above and beyond. Attentive without being intrusive, Matt anticipated our needs with precision, offered insightful recommendations tailored to our tastes, and ensured that every detail, from timing to presentation, was executed flawlessly. His professionalism and warmth elevated the entire experience.
The food itself was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish showcased thoughtful preparation and bold, balanced flavors. From the perfectly seared entrées to the artfully plated dessert, the kitchen demonstrated a commitment to quality that rivals top-tier dining destinations. It’s evident that the culinary team takes pride in their craft.
What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is its values. Learning that the owner actively hires veterans added a meaningful layer to our visit. As someone who deeply respects service and sacrifice, I’m grateful to support a business that honors those who’ve served by providing dignified employment and a welcoming environment.
This is more than a meal, it’s a model of what hospitality should be. I would list the food we ate but have no doubt that each item on their menu is phenomenal. We had three appetizers, one of which newly added to the restaurant, not yet on the menu. Fortunately, Matt made sure we knew. There was three in my party, each having the same response to the food.
If you’re in the area and choose not to go to Makers Union, then you are only doing yourself a disservice. Those that read these words and stop by the restaurant, you’re welcome.
