The chicken biryani is incredible, best biryani I tried in US. Highly recommend.

My experience at Masala Express was disappointing. The food, particularly the naan, was below par. The seating environment left much to be desired, making it an unappealing place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Furthermore, the use of low-quality utensils added to the overall dissatisfaction. Improvement in food quality, seating, and utensils would significantly enhance the dining experience at Masala Express.

Whilst I was on a trip to the area I stumbled upon Masala Express. In search for gluten free and vegan friendly options I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Aloo Gobi which comes with a large side of rice. This was truly the best Indian food I have ever had. The service was phenomenal. The waiters as well as the owners were very kind and appreciative of the tip I left at the end of my meal. Masala Express is a fairly small restaurant with only two tables, so if you have a large party I recommend taking out your order. Overall, Masala Express is an amazing place to spend your evening when visiting Arlington, VA.

Absolutely delightful family-run Indian restaurant! The portions are generously sized, and the food is simply mouthwatering. A hidden gem that captures the essence of authentic Indian cuisine.

Love supporting this local business. Love the chicken Rohan Josh and the Palak Paneer. My husband loves the chicken tikka masala. Wish they had a few more menu items to try, but I do love these solid options.

From someone who never writes reviews: We love this place and are lucky to have it close by! Delicious food, we have never been disappointed and start to eat the hot fresh naan in the car (unless its too fresh and hot ?) Family run, very friendly. Highly recommend!

I love having this place in the neighborhood! The food is delicious and ready quick, with lots of yummy vegetarian options, parking is easy, and they are always super friendly.
Ordered palak paneer and naan for kids on our stay during DC visit. Naan was great. But palak paneer could use more cooking. It has raw kasoori methi flavor. I think would have other better stuff. Will give them try again if visiting DC.

If you’re like me and prefer vegetarian meals, then for sure you know the delish options that Indian cuisine offers. Here at Masala Express, they make it with the best & freshest ingredients! ☝️?Mr. Narish and his lovely Mrs. serve some of the best curries, tandoori meats — along with my veggie choices — available here in Arlington. Packaged only for to-go, which makes the item prices comparatively cheaper for larger portions.Parking is free in the lot. And wait time for your order is minimal. {*** One caution: Make sure you specify spicy or not! ?️ }Dhanyavaad! ?? ?? ? ?

I had Samosas, Lamb Vindaloo and Naan, everything was delicious. Will definitely come back for more.

Nothing special about food. Just average. Chole was expensive for 13.95. Chicken roganjosh , looked like chicken was boiled and put in gravy. Rice was hard a bit. Garlic nan was ok.
