We came to Mejana for my mother's birthday. The service was ok, server was young and there may have been a language barrier. Because we were a large party we were told our only option on the menu was the Lebanese Journey which turned out to be basically a large sampler of many menu items from apps, meats and 1 dessert. I was able to explain that in one sentence but while we were at the restaurant that simple explanation was not given. We had about 20 people in our party and were all very confused. The menu doesn't really give an explanation, the waiter wasn't stating it in a way we could understand and finally the manager came and broke it down for us lol. The food ended up being delicious and the drinks were nice also. I really liked the hibiscus martini and my mom loved her mocktail (which they mad a good selection of). My suggestion would be to add an explanation for what the levonese journey is on the menu and also detail that the "mixed grill" is a variety of grilled meats. I assumed it was grilled vegetables since there was no detail on meat and the chicken shwarma was derailed separately. With all the confusion it took us a very long time to order, we had several children with us who got antsy with the wait for the food once it finally was ordered. Aside from the confusion the establishment had very nice decor and we enjoyed our time celebrating my mom. Be aware that the desert that comes w the Journey is a baklava that's the size of a quarter and what looked like a tablespoon of custard, incredibly tiny portions lol so be prepared ? but still delicious. The staff were very patient w our confusion and tried their best to explain.

This place is phenomenal. Parking is a little hard as it’s street parking but there’s other places to park nearby and you’ll be glad you did. This place is very welcoming with fantastic service; very attentive and friendly staff. The setting is very nice and is a great place to take someone special. And the food. The food is fantastic. Everything my wife and I got was absolutely delicious. Lately we’ve been on a kick for appetizers, which gives us more things to try and so we did quite a few appetizers and one entree to share. We started off with a pinky colada(?) and a blackberry mule. Both nonalcoholic and very good. For appetizers we had baba ghanouj, arnabit, and batata harra, while the entree was the Mejana grill (3 different skewers) with rice.I have to go back.

I went on a Sunday evening so the atmosphere would probably be better during the week.Very professional and friendly service. Food was very good. I had falafel to start and then the salmon, which was slightly overpriced. Nice glass of Lebanese white wine.Would definitely go back.

You can like if you don’t know the real Lebanese food. The shawarma is not Lebanese shawarma, the soup not good like real Lebanese, the same for the other things and it s expensive for this.

The food was delicious and staff very friendly. We never felt rushed-a great place to meet up/catch up with friends. The falafel was dry so I'm glad we got a lot of apps to sample because it left so many other great things for us to try. The lentil soup was awesome & served piping hot-yum!

Had a very nice dinner here last month. Beautiful decor and ambiance, very attentive service. Family style was perfect for our group of 6 and we all enjoyed the array of food. The standout was lamb which came on a platter of several other meats and vegetables.

Amazing! The hot sampler appetizer has kibeh, cheese rolls, and falafel. It was delicious, just the right size to start this meal. We shared a mixed grill that had chicken lamb and kafta. Wow, tasty varied, and scrumptious. The Makanek, small sausages with lemon butter and pomegranate were tangy and with a hint of sweetness. For dessert, we had a baklava and a kanafeh which were the perfect ending to a great lunch! Not to mention the strong Turkish coffee! I loved it all and will come back when I can! Came back again this year and the food is consistently excellent.

First time, loved the blue, the ambiance of the place. Had the Batata Harra, not pictured and the shrimp skewers with the veggies. Simple but very good and filling. Will definitely come back.

It was a rip-off. Wouldn't go there again or recommend this place to others. **Positives:** 1. The service was great. Fast, timely, and cordial 2. We don't drink alcohol. So we were offered free cocktails instead of the Champaign. In other words, we overpaid likely however I appreciate their consideration to offer free drinks against their "Valentine's day restricted menu" **Negatives:** 1. **Too expensive** : I booked a reservation for 02/14 and they had given me the "Valentine's day menu" for which I had to pay $75/person + 10% tax +20% tip by default. So the bill was $195 for 2 of us. Why am I complaining? They never informed on OpenTable or their website or the text messages for reservation that I do not get the regular menu and I had to choose only from their restricted "Valentine's day menu" 2. **Too Limited options and Inconsiderate Chef:** And as a vegetarian that doesn't eat mushrooms (sorry, there are a lot of idiots like me where I come from), I couldn't eat their only vegetarian main course option available. When requested for other options, I was given NONE (Although, I overheard the chef providing a choice of take out menu items available to my neighbor table). I ended up chosing two starters as opposed to one starter and one main course. 3. **Taste**:The food offered to us was at best okay. My wife and I had been to 10 other Mediterranean restaurants in DMV area. We would place Me Jana at the bottom of the list without a doubt. Although I'd argue that it's only because we had to eat the limited dumb options from the Valentine's day menu. I would guess their regular food is probably way better. 4. **Presentation**: presentation of the food was diner-like. Not bad. But not worth paying $97.5 per person either. 5. **Ambience and Environment :** I didn't really feel that we were having a Valentine's day dinner as we were sat close to two families dining with their kids and it wasn't quiet or pleasant, let alone romantic.

It was good but I felt a bit overpriced

Good food and service with many delicious choices for lunch. Many vegan options too - I had the beet salad and spinach appetizer. My friend had the chicken wrap that she liked. My mother’s baba ganoush. It was served with light and fluffy pita bread! The decor is fancy and the atmosphere cozy which would be nice for a dinner date.Vegetarian options: Many excellent vegan options too!
