Stopped in for breakfast and had great experience. We had French toast and and an omelette. The omelette came with hash-browns that were delicious. I asked my wife to learn how to cook them! Our waitress Hayat was friendly attentive and helpful going over the menu. This is now on my places to eat while in the are. 5 stars for everything.

We have only ever gone for breakfast: Food: Good size portions and always very good. Service: Can be inconsistent but usually good. Atmosphere: for a large space that is buzzing with activity, it's never too loud. Price: $57 without gratuity for breakfast (Lox Benedict, Silver Dollar pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 coffees, side of corned beef hash)
On today's visit, having seen the aforementioned lamb video for the first time, we asked to see their dinner menu out of curiosity for the lamb and other offerings to plan for a future dinner visit. Not seeing the lamb, we asked & the server explained that since Covid they no longer make that dish and added that people have come from far distances only to be disappointed.

The food tastes absolutely DELICIOUS and prepared with exceptional craftsmanship and almost didn’t want to eat it because it looked so nice! The service was kind, quick, all around outstanding and took no time at all to have the food in front of us after ordering! Definitely has the classic diner vibe and atmosphere, totally recommend!

I stopped in for lunch while visiting the area but decided on breakfast food. The hostesses were polite. The waitress was mid level energy. The food was not bad. I ordered a belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The portions were healthy and everything tasted okay. I would return again and order something different but I would hope for a more lively server next visit.

Excellent place for breakfast but very expensive. I just paid $28 for two eggs, sausage and orange juice with a coffee at the end. With tip I paid $35 for breakfast for one person. They do a good job but I'm not sure you could justify the pricing to go to very often.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast- 2 eggs over easy with sausage and potatoes. Food came before I had a chance to start checking my emails! Eggs were fried to perfection, and service was prompt and friendly! Recommend 100%

I recently had breakfast at Metro 29 Diner in Arlington, VA with my girlfriend, and the experience was delightful. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out – a greeter opened the door for us both when we entered and left, adding a nice touch of hospitality. The wait staff was prompt and pleasant, ensuring we felt welcomed and taken care of.
The food was excellent, with the French toast being the highlight of the meal for me. The two pieces were generously sized, about 1” to 1.25” thick, and cooked to perfection. The coffee was exceptionally smooth, whether it was regular or specialty coffee, it was a great complement to our meal.
Overall, Metro 29 Diner provided a fantastic breakfast experience, and I will definitely return!
Amazing diner!! I went there with my family and it was delicious! The service was amazing we had Vanessa and she was excellent and so nice. She really cared about everything being perfect and she did a really good job. I really recommend this diner!!! The food was also very very good!!
