I went in for the empanadas, stayed for the coffee, and keep coming back because of the incredible customer service. The empanadas are always perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and the coffee is just as good, everything feels thoughtfully done. But what really makes Mpanadas special is the people. The staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and makes you feel like more than just another customer. It’s the kind of place that brightens your day and turns into a go-to without you even realizing it. Arlington is lucky to have a spot like this.

One of my favorite spots for not only empanadas but also coffee in the DMV. The empanadas are packed with flavor and are very sizable. The staff is extremely inviting and you feel that family atmosphere the moment you walk in.
Great place to also do some work, lunch meeting or just quick a snack break .
They also sell frozen empanadas if you wanted to keep some your freezer at home.
10/10 experience every time.

The place has improved but I wish that there wouldn't be soo many issues with customer service, for example, if you forgot to ask for the sauce that is free with an empanada, they won't give them to you. You have to ask for them before you pay, even though they are free. Frustrating.

Ordered for pick up but decided to stay and enjoy my empanadas in person. I was pleasantly surprised by how cozy the shop felt. Definitely going in the roster for coffee shops to do work at. And the empanadas were so tasty and filling without the sugar crash I get from pastries at other coffee shops.

Nicolas and Elec were very friendly. Missed opportunity on naming the store “llama Empanada” but it’s still a great spot.
Elec and Nicolas are great, and they even speak Spanish! I will be returning soon to try the possible new gluten-free empanadas.
