Northside Social Coffee & Wine

I’ve been going to this place for years and it’s always amazing. The coffee and food are top notch and the staff is always friendly. It really shows as they’re always busy!

Such a cute little restaurant! The turkey avocado sandwich was excellent and service was very fast. They also have a happy hour deal where a glass of wine was $7. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating- our only complaint was that indoors in the summer was very hot

Ambience and WIFI are fantastic - no concerns or issues at all. The food and the drinks - not impressive at all. I ordered a masala chai, to my surprise it was not made fresh. It came from the premade box that I could buy at Whole Foods and whip up myself at home. I was expecting freshly made like what is done in India - not this supermarket brand that costed me the same amount if I bought it from the store.
I have had their oatmeal, breakfast and scones - all medicore, nothing to be excited about.
I still come here because when I need to work and not too crowded, this is the place to be.

Disappointed by Pricing Tricks and Gimmicks
I used to enjoy coming to Northside Social, but lately, the experience has felt more like a money grab than genuine hospitality. Prices seem inflated for what you get, and worse, the ordering system is designed to trick you into overspending. The way they position their options subtly nudges you to choose larger sizes and higher-priced items without clearly showing the difference.

To top it off, the tip screen automatically suggests outrageously high percentages as the first option—before you’ve even received your drink or food. It feels manipulative and leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially for a casual coffee spot.

It’s one thing to raise prices due to inflation, but another to intentionally design a checkout process that confuses or pressures customers. I hope they reconsider these tactics—until then, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Unreal catering experience !! Truly amazing from start to finish especially thanks to Tetiana who helped me and was super efficient friendly and professional . As the school parent for both of our daughters I have to facilitate teacher catering funded through parents and we were so happy to purchase coffee and AMAZING pastries from NSS in Clarendon. Everything there is perfection - quality ingredients and top notch drinks. Breakfast , lunch or dinner we love to eat there as well as take out

The strawberry mint latte was surprisingly delicious.
I parked in the paid lot next store -- just be careful because the parking police lady was definitely out and checking.

All the food options I've had so far have been good. Drinks are good as well. Good place to read a book or get some work done.

The food is great, the staff is polite and friendly, the atmosphere is artsy and comfortable. The prices are reasonable. I can’t think of a business that makes me happy to live around here like this one does.

The internet connection was a bit unstable, but the location is excellent. The food is fantastic, and the coffee is great too!

The chai is excellent. It will warm you up on a cold night. The bacon and poached egg sandwich is good but I think it should come with a side. The wine bar area was packed more than I expected for a Wednesday night.

Lively and lovely spot for breakfast. Can be very busy but with ample seating indoor and out, you're likely to be able to hang out while you eat.

Tried the cherry spice latte. All I wanted was a great tasting, delicately created latte. Instead I got a sweet syrupy mess that tasted neither like cherry, nor like coffee, and had no traces of any spice. Wasted $7.00 and threw the whole mess down the drain. Plus the foam. It so annoys me when these baristas don't know the difference between latte foam and cappuccino foam. This one was made like a cappuccino. What a waste of money. I've pledged never to get my coffee at Northside social again. I'll stick with Compass and Tatte.
