We had a party of 10, traveling from FL, CA, DE, and CT. Everything couldn't have been better! The food, the drinks, the service, and the fact they let us enjoy our time together without once urging us to leave, made for a dinner to remember. Thank you, Osteria de Nino!

We enjoyed this place. They had a good wine selection that was reasonably priced. Service was good at the bar. I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went back for drinks. Bar was empty with no bartender. Wine selection was small. Service was not great. Poor condition.

I had high hopes coming in here. The owner greeted us and was super friendly. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was underwhelming. Every single food item seemed like it was made nicely but lacked salt. Even my partner who is sensitive to salt had to add it to everything. I had the carbonara and it was just meh. So bland. I had one bite and decided not to have more. Our waitress never came back to check on us and my glass sat empty. My partner wanted another glass of wine but ?‍♀️. When we flagged her down for the check she noticed my plate, asked me if I wanted a box and when I said no, asked no further questions. Also we arrived early before it got crowded so that’s not an excuse.

My family and I have been dining at Osteria da Nino’s for years, and it never fails to impress! The atmosphere feels like a second home to us, and the warm, welcoming staff make every visit special. The menu is delightful, and every meal is crafted with care. They also have a fantastic selection of wines to complement your dinner. Whether it’s a family gathering or a special night out - Nino’s consistently delivers exceptional food and service. It’s truly our go-to spot, and we couldn’t recommend it more!

The ambience at night seems a little off given how bright it is inside. We sat at the bar and were mostly ignored which was unfortunate. I’ve been to the happy hours here which are delicious and decently priced. I just can’t say I’ve ever felt that comfortable with the service here.

Absolutely adore this place!!! If you’re looking for authentic Italian look no further. The owner is an absolute gem as well, visiting the table frequently to make sure everything is ok. However!! The star of the menu is undoubtedly their cheese wheel pasta. Watching the server create this dish tableside is a real treat—the huge wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano is expertly shaved, and the creamy, cheesy goodness that results is simply divine. Honestly I’ve gone to other restaurants around the area with a cheese wheel and nothing even compares!!

Urgent: Disturbing and Unacceptable Incident at Osteria da Nino

I am writing to report a deeply disturbing and unacceptable incident I experienced at Osteria da Nino Italian Ristorante on October 2, 2024, around 6:30 PM.

During my visit, I mistakenly ordered the salmon with beans and politely explained that it was not what I had intended to order. When Nino the owner approached me about my order, his response towards me was aggressive and attitude, and shockingly, he called me a racial slur. He proceeded to scream at me, threw a plate at me, and continued to berate me in front of other patrons, despite my repeated pleas for him to stop.

The entire situation was humiliating, leaving me in tears as the entire bar looked on. I felt targeted and disrespected, not just as a customer, but as an African American woman . The behavior I was subjected to was absolutely unacceptable and rooted in blatant racism.

I am extremely shaken by this encounter, and I hope you will take immediate and appropriate action to address this matter. No one should ever be treated in such a dehumanizing way.

I look forward to hearing from you promptly on how this situation will be addressed.

We love to dine at Nino italian restaurant. Food is excellent. We had olives as appetizers and they were from Itali and tasted real good. I love their Revioli. If you are looking for good Italian restaurant, don't go anywhere else.just go to Nino Pino!

I’ve been twice already and the place is great. First time I enjoyed the oysters and the cheese wheel pasta (only done a few days a week). It was so good that I took some family to try it. They do have a great happy hour menu.

I recently visited this charming family-owned Italian restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. I had the carbonara, which was perfectly creamy with just the right balance of flavors, and my friend raved about their meatball pasta—hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service made us feel like part of the family. This spot is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Italian comfort food!

There's no place like Nino's. The full experience, family-style atmosphere with Nino and others greeting you at the door and always at the tables to say hello, superb service and oh by the way, delicious food. Let me know where else in the DMV you get this.

Five of us had an early dinner at Osteria da Nino after going to the Signature Theater. Everyone enjoyed their food. We have all eaten here before and this is one of my husband & I's favorite in the Arlington area. Excellent all around, we highly recommend Osteria da Nino.

In spite of arriving 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and planning on waiting at the bar, the owners met us as we walked in and we were immediately seated at a table. They were most gracious hosts. I won't even begin to describe our dinners, as my description wouldn't do them justice. However, their pork/beef/veal lasagna will be the one I'll compare all other lasagnas to. The stuffed/fried squash blossoms are my wife's new comfort food. The wine list contains the most apt descriptors I've come across. Of the three wines we had (a Sicilian red, a Puglian red, and a NZ Sauvignon Blanc), they were described to a 'T', which made matching wines to food a great experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and I don't know that we have experienced better table service. We will be going back.

This unfortunately is not the review I wanted to write but I would be remiss if I wasn't honest as I was very much looking forward to dining here for the first time. First impression was great. We were seated and the service throughout dinner was good. Things took a slight turn when the food came. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and the cheese wheel pasta. The bolognese was unfortunately very much not the star of dinner, as it was highly recommended by the staff. The bolognese had way too much oil at the bottom of the plate and it was very hard to eat. I saved about half to take home but before I put it in the to go box, I drained about half an inch of oil. I was disappointed as I really wanted to like the experience but that amount of oil is unreasonable and respectfully unacceptable
