Used to love this place but owner and/or baker changed and selection/pastry quality went down.

I have been getting cakes from here for 30+ years. I bought three cakes on July 5th, 2025. Mango & Passionfruit, White chocolate mousse, and chocolate buttercream. All the three cakes were stale. The white chocolate mousse was dry, old and yellow - rather than usually being cream colored. The chocolate cake was dry and very old, same with the mango cake. It has never been like this and the quality has gone extremely downhill. Had to throw them out.

My favorite pastry shop in Arlington. They have awesome cakes as well as many different pastries and yummy cookies. Definitely worth checking out.

Great choices and reasonable prices. Was our first time there. I loved what I chose, which is salted caramel cupcake.

Very disappointed in the croissants this morning. This was our FAVORITE pastry shop before the new owners changed it up. Not to mention no more coffee at a bakery . There is also a price increase, for which I would have gladly paid for the original croissants we used to get at Randolph’s . I sincerely hope the new owners can change things back to the way they were. I agree with another person who left a review saying that the quality was more comparable to Giant/Safeway.

I bought a simple cake with a message, but they completely messed it up! Instead of writing the message on the cake, they put it on a thin sugar biscuit thats hard like a rock and that’s not even edible. Wasn’t the message supposed to be on the cake itself? What am I to do with a thin sheet of sugar? Now I have a cake on a special day with no message.

This used to be my favorite bakery in the neighborhood! Sadly, new owners is not maintaining the same quality/ingredients as previous pastries by Randolph owner. I have to agree with some other reviews that this place has gone done in quality - taste like if i bought a pastry from Giant/Safeway. For example, you can tell a huge difference between eclair filling and other pastries. I sincerely hope they can get the message and return some of the previous quality that we all have enjoyed over the years.

Randolphs has been my favorite bakery for years. The recent changes, sub contracting baking of breads, croissants, etc.,have forced me to go elsewhere. They no longer have the cakes, pastries and breads that made them the best of the best. In addition, the once classic store is crowded with displays of cocoa mix and other items that have nothing to do with the shop’s bakery offerings. I will still go in occasionally for challah, but that is it. They should take down the awning describing the shop as a Patisserie. It’s a bakery but not a patisserie.

Parking: There isn’t more to say. It’s free if you can get it

Also sharing this place has gone down in quality. Believe they are removing/swapping out products. Seconding what others note—service is still spectacular but not sure what the owners are thinking.
