Previously I gave this place 1-star because one of the guys working there showed me his attitude because I didn't tip.
Now it seems like the owner got rid of tipping altogether. This is a step in the right direction which is highly appreciated.

I ordered takeout from Poke It Upon August 14th, planning to enjoy my meal. To my absolute disgust, while eating, I discovered a dead roach in the food.
This was not a minor issue—it was clearly visible, and I documented everything with photos, including the receipt. I immediately lost my appetite and was deeply concerned about the food safety standards at this establishment.
Since they do not list an email address, I contacted the restaurant through both Facebook and Instagram, sharing the pictures and requesting a refund. So far, I have not received any response.
Due to the seriousness of this issue, I have also reported the incident to the local health department to ensure it is properly investigated.
This was an unacceptable experience that no customer should ever have to go through. I will not be ordering from Poke It Up again, and I strongly urge the business to address this issue immediately for the safety of its future customers.

I went on a trip with EF explorer. They gave me a coupon for a free meal as part of the tour. So I went to poke it up and got a rice bowl. Since it didnt come with the drink I bought a canned Pepsi. She told me $1.89. I checked my account the next day she charged me $15.53 the whole meal!!! Careful with this!!

I really love their bowls but the staff is always so unfriendly. They dont really greet you, I filled out the order form and and got completely ignored. And there was a piece of plastic in my bowl.

Honestly, quite expensive (& I didn’t get any fish!). Overall, tasty and tastes pretty fresh! But I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.
I got the signature poke bowl and it was amazing! All of the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. I will be stopping by here every time I go to the Pentagon City mall. Highly recommend!

Lady at the counter was rude. I ordered and tried giving her the voucher and SHE SNATCHED THE WRONG ONE (DESSERT VOUCHER) and it fell in the sink. She kept saying “FOR ME! FOR ME!” And I was so confused like I’m literally giving it to you… so anyways I just walked up in line. My friend behind me asked to not add a topping. The lady got mad at her and said “NO! Too many people! Too many people!” By the way there was only about 3 people in line… it only took them about 2 seconds to make.. Anyways the food was so mid it was literally a sour salad with some stuff on top of it

I was trying to order but the girl at the register was watching her phone and ignored me the whole time I stood there. She then proceeded to scratch her bottom while watching her phone. I opted to leave at that point.
