I FOUND A COCKROACH IN MY FOOD. DONT EAT HERE. IVE REPORTED THEM TO ARLINGTON PUBLIC HEALTH.
Other than the fact that they were out of my favorite 60 minute IPA on tap, the food here at Rien Tong is great. I must say they exceeded expectation; all the dishes were really good and tasty. Delicious!
We had seafood Tom Yum (lots of ascallops plus jumbo shrimp annd fresh squid) and pork drunken noodles, along with a California roll. All great, with a great tray of 4 chilis to spice everything up.
The atmosphere is casual and the service cordial and efficient.
Took them 3 hours to make dumplings and it was raw
That lady at the front so rude
It's really, firmly, fine. I visited to take advantage of the lunch specials, and it was a good value.
I'm really torn on whether to give a 3 or 4 star review. The food was fine but a bit slow to come out. I also didn't really get the impression the food as fresh as it could be. The green beans in my green curry seemed really sad and limp for how roasted they looked.
The serving staff themselves were quick and attentive. I was welcomed, served my drink quickly and it was kept topped up. When it was time for the bill everything was very smooth.
Overall though, I wouldn't recommend making a trip for the restaurant. It's probably fine for a solo lunch if you live or work in the area.

Try the drunken noodles, but cut down a little sweet, ask extra spicy if you like.

I’ve been getting California rolls here for ever. Pretty good. Old school lady boss is kinda what people may consider rude, but I think that’s just the way she is. Other than that I would recommend this place for the sushi and bubble tea.

The food was great - flavor, portion, and price. I had the red curry and it was perfect!
The service was a bit inattentive on a slow day. The tables had a tacky feel to them like it was leftover from a cleaning residue, but the interior still seemed clean overall.
I highly recommend ordering carry out and giving it a shot for dine-in. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future
Parking: Limited free street parking on weekends, same limited paid parking on weekdays.

I ordered over the course of 2 days chicken pad Thai and shrimp and chicken Kung pao. The pad Thai zero spice and they barely caramelized the noodles, the Kung pao was ok but zero spice decent flavor. The menu shows the Kung pao as spicy and I didn't ask for extra because spicy is subjective. Suggestion if you like spice tell them medium spicy

Great food.
My business partners and I recently dined at Rien Tong Thai Asian & Sushi Bar. We ordered Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp Basil Fried Rice, Beef Drunken Noodles, Soft Shell Crab, and Orange Chicken were all excellent. Each dish showcased authentic flavors, and the service was impeccable. This is our new favorite restaurant and will come back soon. Thank you for the delicious dishes and exceptional experience.Highly recommend and deserve my five stars!

Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar, nestled in Arlington, Virginia, presents a dining experience that, while featuring a diverse Asian cuisine, falls short in certain key aspects, including location appeal, cleanliness concerns, and ventilation issues. My recent visit to this establishment revealed a need for substantial improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.Beginning with the location, Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar finds itself in an average setting in Arlington. The surroundings might not contribute to the allure of the dining experience, and the exterior fails to draw patrons in with a sense of uniqueness or visual appeal. While the focus should rightfully be on the culinary offerings, a more engaging and inviting location could potentially elevate the restaurant's overall appeal.Ventilation emerged as another noteworthy concern during my visit. The lack of effective ventilation impacted the overall ambiance, making the dining area feel stuffy and uncomfortable. Adequate ventilation is crucial for a pleasant dining experience, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their meals in a fresh and well-aired environment. Addressing this issue would contribute significantly to the overall comfort of diners.Perhaps the most significant drawback was the state of the toilets, which, to put it bluntly, were found to be disgusting. Maintaining clean restroom facilities is an absolute necessity for any dining establishment, and the lapses in this area at Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar detract significantly from the overall dining experience. It's crucial for the management to address this concern promptly, as unclean facilities can have a lasting negative impact on the restaurant's reputation.Despite these concerns, it's important to acknowledge the culinary offerings at Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar. The menu features a diverse selection of Thai and Asian dishes, including sushi, presenting patrons with an array of flavors to explore. While the culinary offerings may be a redeeming factor, the issues with location, ventilation, and cleanliness overshadow the positives. In conclusion, Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Arlington, VA, presents a dining experience that requires substantial improvement. Enhancing the location appeal, addressing ventilation issues, and prioritizing cleanliness, especially in the restrooms, are essential steps for the restaurant to reach its full potential. With these improvements, Rien Tong Thai Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar could transform into a more inviting and satisfying dining destination for patrons in Arlington.
