Their croissants, pastries, and other baked goods are very high quality. The closest I've been able to find in northern Virginia to that of a bakery in France. The service is great too, with everyone being very friendly.

We had high expectations given all the positive reviews. The pastries (ordered several) and food (omelette + soup) are overpriced but passable. The main reason for the review is the atrocious service we received. After a very confused person took our order, another lost soul barely found us and brought it to us, a burly long haired gentleman behind the coffee machine actually admonished us for not bussing our plates (there is no signage to indicate that is expected from patrons). I give this place 6 months. We will be taking our coffee/pastry dollars elsewhere.

They couldn't get simple orders right... I ordered their prosciutto and mozzarella baguette, which they literally feature on their wall. Ordered them twice, they messed up both times. The first time, they switched out the baguette for white sandwich bread without asking. The second time, they swapped out prosciutto for deli ham... I hated ham... Seriously dude if you're gonna substitute items you need to ask your customers first. I returned the order both times and they refunded them but it's super awkward and annoying to wait 15-30 mins to then leave and find another restaurant. Won't give this place a chance anymore I'll just go somewhere else. I used to like their croissant but I stopped getting it after seeing flies in their display case a couple times.

Good bakery and breakfast selection. I don't like Lavazza coffee that much, which is what they serve. So I had latte that overpowers yhe coffee taste and I enjoyed it. The smoked salmon omelet very good.

Nice place with a wonderful shady outdoor space. I didn’t try the pastry, being a contrarian, but had an omelet instead. It was served quickly and well prepared. Staff is friendly, the place is modern attractive, and appeared to be very clean.

Hidden gem of Ballston. Pastries are phenomenal and coffee is fair priced. Best part about this spot is the outdoor seated area and amount of shade. Cushioned seats and umbrellas in a beautiful outdoor setting that feels like a small European breakfast spot. Highly recommend any of their danishes and iced coffee is less than $4.

The best spot to take friends, do a little work, or just sit and read a book! Very cozy and warm. And their strawberry custard croissant is SO delicious!

Nice 2:30PM vibe with wood & leather tables/chairs, calm music, good spacing between tables and cool bookshelf. Deli meat in turkey bacon avocado was ordinary/right out of package and a few uninspiring green leaf lettuce hearts but rest of sandwich was good if not remarkable. About $20 for just sandwich chip & drink; guess that’s average around here. convenient walking, esp for Jefferson residents, but otherwise only busy street parking. Had to remind server to bring chips and got my own napkin. Nice place to get quiet work done or have a quiet conversation (I visited 2:30 PM on weekday). Didn’t see any way to recycle the trash.

Tried to come in and get a pastry and a coffee, I could not get served and I waited for 15 minutes. They also play the most godawful music that does not fit the vibe.
I’ll come back and change the review after I can actually try their food, my first 1 star review :(

They have flies around all the pastries. Makes it very unappetizing to eat there when you see the food by flies. Also echoing other comments that service has definitely gone down since they opened.

Overall sad because they have a good menu, nice ambiance, and beautiful location. Hope they fix things internally because im switching to Compass for now.

I walked in there to grab a sweet treat and there were flies ALL OVER the baked goods..

Honestly shameful how they would just leave it like that, there were at least 5 flies on one cookie.

So disgusting and a health hazard!
