Fantastic food and drinks. I had the grain salad with salmon and it was delightful! The Fever Dream drink was great, the bartender was super friendly.

Visiting from out of town, read good reviews so decided to give it a try. To be honest it's not all what it's hyped to be. Our server wasn't attentive,, ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It came soaking wet with some creamy sauce on it. The hush puppies were good. The fries and burger was ok. Men's bathroom a mess according to this visit. Lots of locals hanging around drinking and interacting with each other, loudly. Nothing to brag about.

Consistently good food and service- one of the best breakfast biscuit sandwiches around. Also Gina makes a mean espresso martini 🙌🏾

I did not get our waiters name, but he was phenomenal, and the food was as well. I don't live in the area anymore, but hope to make it back here in the future.

Simply a great spot. Pulled pork sandy, mac, fries for $15 pre tax/tip. Can’t beat it with the prices around here. Service/atmosphere always good. Worst part is getting a seat here with how popular it is!

Absolutely unacceptable experience – discriminatory and demeaning treatment

I’ve never written a review like this before, but our experience at Ruthie’s All Day was deeply upsetting and needs to be called out.

From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome and overlooked. While we waited to be seated, we noticed that the hostess repeatedly ignored us—continuing to scroll through her screen without adding our names to the waitlist—while promptly assisting other guests who arrived after us. This happened in full view, and it was hard not to feel racially profiled.

Eventually, we agreed to bar seating as our toddler was asleep in a compact Doona stroller—designed specifically to fit in small spaces and which easily tucked beneath the bar counter. Instead of being accommodating or even neutral, the bar manager treated us with outright hostility, making a loud, unnecessary comment about “losing revenue” because our stroller was supposedly taking up space (it wasn’t). When I politely checked if everything was okay, he snapped: “Yeah, whatever – GO.” I still don’t know what that meant. Go where? Leave? Just stop existing?

The food looked decent, but frankly, no meal is worth being publicly humiliated, ignored, and treated as less-than human. This kind of behavior, especially toward a family with a child, is appalling.

We left feeling hurt, unwelcome, and angry. This is not just about bad service—it’s about how people of color are still treated differently in supposedly welcoming spaces
