Another issue was that when we arrived, the room was empty, but the waitress sat us next to another couple. It was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. Two taken tables next to each other in an absolutely empty room it is NOT ok!

I recently visited Ryu Izakaya in Arlington, and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and modern, with that authentic Japanese izakaya vibe that makes it feel both relaxed and lively. The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The sushi was high quality, with clean flavors and beautifully presented plates. The small plates were perfect for sharing, and each dish had great balance and seasoning. You can tell the kitchen really cares about detail. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Staff were happy to make recommendations and checked in at just the right times. Overall, Ryu Izakaya is a fantastic spot whether you’re going for a casual dinner, date night, or meeting friends. Definitely one of the better Japanese spots in Arlington — I’ll absolutely be back.

I can’t believe I paid 40 dollars for really bad food. Poor quality of food, overpriced and completely under portioned. So frustrating because we hardly ever order takeout- and when we do (in this case) it’s crap… so annoying… so frustrating… Stay away from this place

Very rude waitress she told me that I don’t wanna wait I can cancel order , I work for costumer service and this lady needs some classes of how to be nice with people , and owner or managers needs to tell her to be nice because rude customer service is not a good thing for this restaurants

Second order was a big letdown. Cold noodle came with no dipping sauce and tasted like it was going bad — had to throw both boxes out, only the tempura was edible. The salmon taco was good and the rest of the food was okay, but overall the cold noodle completely ruined the experience.
