My cousins and I had an 8:30 PM reservation at Sky Dome and the service was very disappointing. We arrived about 15 minutes early and the hostess took several minutes to even acknowledge us, and when she did her attitude wasn’t welcoming at all.

We were told to come back at 8:30 because the table wasn’t ready, which we understood. When we came back, we were told to wait another 5 minutes because the party at our table hadn’t left. That turned into over 20 minutes of waiting while they cleaned the table, and no one ever called us to be seated.

After waiting well past our reservation time with no communication, we decided to leave. Poor customer service and disorganization. Glad we didn’t spend our money here.

Cool place to try. It's not as upscale as I thought. The menu is small but the food was good. Parking was a nightmare. I would say allow 30-40 min to find a spot. It's a run around trying to find the restaurant within the hotel. They need signs! Definitely pricey but worth visiting at least once.

We went close to closing so there were not that many people there. It was a very nice experience. You get a nice view of DC and the Potomac from the restaurant. There is a part where your view is just people's apartments, but the majority it is a nice view. The food was amazing and the service was good. The staff were very kind. I do recommend going at least 20 minutes earlier if you have a reservation because parking in the underground garage was really rough for us. Even though we got there early we ended up being almost exactly the 15 minutes over our reservation time. The staff were really nice about it and still sat us. But please do beware the parking is not the best there.

This restaurant was exquisite! My husband took me here for my 60th birthday, and what a GREAT experience! The view was amazing, the decor and atmosphere were very nice, and the food was DELICIOUS. Adil was our main waiter and he provided us with perfect service. Robert assisted him with drinks and things, and he was very friendly and helpful. I had the pasta but I made him chicken pasta instead of shrimp and my husband had the ribeye. We both shared the delightful chocolate mousse for dessert and there was plenty! I highly recommend this excellent restaurant!

I've been to the Skydome restaurant three times now, and each time it has been fantastic. The views of DC are worth the visit alone, especially as the sun sets and night time comes around. The food is great, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is somewhat unique.

The decor is really dated. People were nice. The reviews said the service was slow was very accurate. The food, at best, was mediocre. Definitely overpriced.

This experience was fun! I did appreciate them taking my drink back when I do not like it and provided me a different drink. The Brussel sprouts were good and the pecans were an interesting touch. The shrimp pasta was good. The vegetables on the side of the chicken were just three tiny pieces - wish there was more. The cheesecake was good.

I’ve been calling and emailing to inquire about pricing for a future event. No one will respond. Very disappointed in the customer service.

If you are looking for a place with a view, a sleek vibe, and a little bit of “wait… are we moving?” energy, the rooftop lounge at the DoubleTree in Crystal City is your spot.

Sitting on the 15th floor, the entire restaurant slowly rotates, which means you can either stay put like a normal person or do what I did and strategically change seats mid-meal to maximize the views (not something I would recommend if you're on a date unless you're just helping their view ). Either way, you are getting a full panoramic tour of Washington, DC without having to walk, sweat, or argue with Google Maps.

The rotation is slow enough that you do not feel motion sick, but fast enough that you suddenly realize your drink now has a completely different skyline behind it. It is oddly relaxing and slightly mesmerizing, like a grown-up lazy Susan with city lights.

The burger was excellent. Juicy, well-cooked, and exactly what you want while watching the city slide by outside the windows. Service was smooth, the atmosphere was calm and upscale, and the evening view really shines once the sun goes down.

If you are staying at the hotel, this is a no-brainer, aside from the fact it's typical big city hotel prices. If you are not staying at the hotel, it is still worth the trip up. Come for the view, stay for the slow spin, and enjoy the fact that dinner also doubles as sightseeing.
