Stageplate Bistro - Arlington

Is it open? Is it closed? Nobody knows. No indication either way. But I haven't seen it open in over a month. This place is/was actually pretty good, the service attentive, the food pretty tasty, altho nothing in particular stood out. I think they fell victim to the Glebe road divide, most apt-dwellers live on the other side of the road which is busy and not friendly for crossing. It's too bad cuz this place was solid, great date-night spot.

Delicious! I live across the street, so I was hoping it'd be good, and I was not disappointed! I've now eaten there and ordered takeout. The crab cakes are fantastic - taste and portion! Great side salad too. My friend had crab cakes too with the onion rings, which were great. I ordered a salad for takeout and that was delicious as well. Plus, beyond friendly service. Went here to catch up with a friend for happy hour. The bar area is small (maybe six stools?), and we were pleasantly surprised HH prices were available at the seated tables as well. We ordered a couple appetizers and wine. The service was great - food and drinks came promptly and staff checked in with us throughout the visit without being too intrusive. Great addition to this section of Ballston.
