8:00 close time - we ordered at 7:15, told no hot drinks, they already cleaned the machine, and no cash sales as they already emptied the cash box. The girls said they were under staffed with three working in a small kiosk. I guess corporate doesn’t care about sales too much.

sitting here waiting for the drink I ordered at 6:38; it's now 7:30. I used to be a shift at a sbux, so maybe I'm more critical than most, but I was pretty disappointed. I stood at the counter for a good five minutes before I could order as the person on warming/register chatted with the person brewing coffee. the person on hot bar is making drinks completely out of order, isn't adequately sanitizing the steam wand between drinks, and is talking on his cell phone while making drinks. when the person on hot bar left to re-stock ice, nobody made drinks - the person on brewing just kept on stocking bottled water in the cold case (which was pretty decently stocked). nobody is planted in position and things seem very disorganized. I think this location would really benefit from better staffing and re-training. :/

Be careful with mobile orders at this location! You can order a drink with options they won’t actually do, and you are stuck with no recourse, refund etc. The workers claim they don’t actually work for Starbucks and it’s Corporate’s fault and I need to take it up with them, and then will even explain it is my fault for ordering an option they don’t provide! Typical lackluster airport food service workers.

I wish I could give negative 15 stars. It’s clear from reading these reviews that these employees don’t get reprimanded for horrible behavior which is why they continue to act this way. The Starbucks in the hall leading to D gates is the worst store I have ever been to. After being greeted with “whatchu want” and an eye roll I was charged 10$ for a drink I normally pay 5 for. When I received my drink it was only three quarters full. I offered to pay for extra oatmilk if need be and the lady at your register this morning proceeded to yell across the entire store “ she ain’t gettin no more oatmilk!” Clearly this is an ongoing issue with this store and nothing is ever done about it. I’ve literally never been treated so badly anywhere. The attitudes are disgusting and they completely ruined my entire trip. Please listen to these reviews and find decent baristas.

Waited approximately 30 minutes for a frappuccino and when I finally asked about it they informed me that their blender was broken and weren't sure why the person knowingly charged me for one.

Extremely slow service. The blender was broken so no fraps, they didn’t have any cow milk and it was only 8 am. Plus other ingredients/syrups that I heard them telling customers they didn’t have. On top of it I waited 15 minutes for my tea and when I asked the excuse was that someone else took it. It tasted awful.

There was what I thought a friendly lady working at the cash register because the 4 people before me she greeted them so nicely and cracked jokes with them and asked for their name and everything. When it was my turn my name was never asked - I was the only Asian - and I was prompted to use my card and that’s it’s gonna ask me for a tip and I press green for yes and red for no. And she was leaning over basically putting her hands over the card reader basically looking at me like I was supposed to verbally answer her right then and there. So I told her no. That really pissed her off and she stopped being friendly after that. Along with not asking for my name she also didn’t give me a receipt. I changed it on my corporate card so I needed a receipt. She went onto say for me to stand on the side while she runs up 3 additional customers behind me and waited til the line was empty to keep printing out wrong receipts claiming that she’s not used to that specific register. She also proceeds to tell a customer I’m upset because she asked me about the tip while I’m standing right there! I just gave her a blank share because at this point she was doing this on purpose now. I got my drink and was already 1/3 done with it when I finally told her forget about it even though I needed it because it was charged through my business card. That’s when she finally printed the correct receipt. She tried to offer me free cookies for the inconvenience, which could’ve been completely avoided in the first place. This tipping for everything culture needs to stop. They did not go above and beyond to warrant a tip and to hound people to feel pressure to tip is a new low for Starbucks. Like are you all a multi billion company paying $15 an hour minimum!? Shame!

Person at register (4:38am, 3/27/24) had a gross attitude and rudeness. Drink was good and made by someone else.

Kindness is needed more now than ever. Angel who works at Starbucks in Terminal D at DCA Airport is a complete breath of fresh air. Every single time I see her she is so kind, outgoing and treats EVERYONE so well, including people who are not very nice. She also makes an amazing Oatmilk Latte. ? ?? I have to escalate this review to headquarters. More love, less hate.

So usually Starbucks in an airport is chaotic at best. But there’s this lovely person working there named Erika who brings some smiles to this place. She greets everyone with a smile while singing and making your coffee. She had me cracking up and everyone there was commenting on how they couldn’t help but smile. She definitely reminded me to find the joy amongst the chaos.
