I was excited to finally try this place as I often pass by it to go to Alamo movie theatre. I came during happy hour which includes deals on beer and margaritas, additionally it was Taco Tuesday so the tacos were BOGO.
-Spicy margarita-$9 (It was alright nothing special but I guess decent for the deal) -Guacamole- Really good!! -Tacos (Beef Birria, Baja Crispy Fish, Al Pastor, and Beef Ribeye) *The Birria and the Al Pastor tacos were my favorite!
The service could be improved as no explanation was provided about happy hour or Taco Tuesday until I asked. I had to ask for water which I realized once I saw everyone else at the table with a bottle, but then the water was just in a bottle and it was room temperature (with no ice or any bottled options given) with food floating in it.

The food was just… fine. The tortillas, fine. The filet and pastor meat tacos were good, but the seafood was just ok. The avocado and cilantro were brown and droopy, and limes were a little dry, just everything a little past its best. Our tacos came out at different times with no acknowledgment that the rest was coming, and they were placed so quickly with the waitress leaving without a word that we were left wondering … are they coming soon, or…
So, everything was just ok. Not a terrible experience, just disappointing.
The atmosphere and location are great so I’m glad we went, but I doubt we’ll be in a rush to come back.

WARNIG!!! I mistakenly ordered from this location through the Uber Eats app (I updated my address in the app, but it didn't show me the Tacombi address until after I ordered. It only showed me one location). I cancelled the order immediately once I saw it went to the wrong location, but Uber Eats wouldn't refund me since the restaurant accepted the order. I called this Tacombi immediately and talked to the manager. They hadn't even started making the order (they had to find it), but said they couldn't refund me because it came through Uber Eats. This is unacceptable. I will never order from this restaurant at any location. I am out $100. BEWARE! Don't order from this restaurant online.

The prices felt too high considering the small portion sizes of the tacos. The service was acceptable, though not particularly welcoming. We arrived at 9:35 PM (the restaurant closes at 10 PM), but were informed we could only order takeout. It seemed like our presence was inconvenient. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience.

So disappointing, I have come many many times in this location before going to the movies, new employees are obviously not trained, they always looking like a deer in the headlight trying to figure out things, and the waitress with 5 inch nails needs to know Hygiene codes… is just gross she almost took a spoon of my guacamole with her nails, but the most most disappointing is the NEW ribeye quesadilla at $14, cigarette paper sliced ribeye, I couldn't taste the meat of course it was so dry and almost invisible in the middle of peppers ans onions, see photo, just so you know Tacombi, I come here before a movie so I dont eat crap from the theater, you can do better! I will change my review once i get better experience.
