Yummy sushi at a reasonable price! They do takeout, but the restaurant also has a fun ambience.

What a jewel we stumbled upon today! The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and beautiful. But the service was absolutely top notch! We were celebrating a birthday and the chef and server made us all feel so special. I can’t wait to return.

This restaurant was one of the best and authentic Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in the US. The chef was so kind and accommodating! He made the best chashu I’ve ever had in my life. It was my nephew’s first birthday and the staff played birthday music for him and catered to him so sweetly. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Japanese food with lots of variety. We ordered bento boxes and they were incredible. Good prices for such good food portions. My family and I came here to celebrate my baby’s first birthday and they even played him happy birthday and brought out a sweet little candle for him. They were so kind and friendly and I would recommend it to anyone.

This restaurant understands and loves fish and flavor. I regularly go here for a quiet, low key dinner after work, and I've never been dissatisfied.
If you like delicious fish, spend an evening here!
And try the pork belly, too!

AWESOME SPOT, flying under the radar in the Courthouse area with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious curry ramen and sushi. The fried dumplings are a must. Brought a hinge date and her little from UCF and it was a big hit

If I can give this place 6 stars I would. 5 for the food, one extra star for the owners! Super welcoming!

The fish is super fresh and the Kakuni-don (pork belly) omg, it’s the best in the whole DMV area. The ramen with Kakuni-don is so great too!!! My second time here and will be keep going back!

Takeshi Sushi is a neighborhood gem. The staff is always friendly, the food is good (spicy tonkotsu ramen with the hand roll is a great deal) and the atmosphere is relaxed. Wish the eggs were more consistently softboiled in the ramen, and sometimes the pork can be too fatty with not enough meat. Overall still a great place to eat 👍👘

Such a quaint spot in Arlington! Cute spot with neat decor, amazing food at great prices, and amazing service! Not the most fancy restaurant, but an amazing place to have some good food in peace.

For dinner, we had the Kakuni Don (braised pork belly) which was absolutely splendid, and the 1) Party Sushi Combo. The Kakuni was super tender, perfectly seasoned with so much flavor! It came with choy sum, half of a soft boiled egg, Hiyayakko (soft tofu with peanut sauce), kimchi, a bowl of rice, and a bowl of miso soup. The portions were HUGE given that it was only 20 dollars. It was a whole pork belly! The 1) Party Sushi Combo was also great! It featured 19 assorted pieces of nigiri, a normal roll and a specialty roll served in a sushi boat. I’m pretty sure we got the Rainbow Roll and the Phoenix Roll, both were delicious.

Apart from the food I want to say that the decor was beautiful, making the restaurant feel very cozy and like home. There are some Japanese decorations, and also the music in the background is very nice, unlike some other places with loud music that can be disruptive.

I also want to highlight the service of this restaurant. The chef of the sushi bar was really kind and gave us an extra pork dish that was on the house! The server was also very kind.

One thing, the rice for normal dishes here is different from rice of other Japanese restaurants. It’s a type of rice that will be more sticky on the outside and hard on the inside. It is typical for some Japanese restaurants, but it might be a little off to some people. Just keep that in mind.

We spent 100 dollars for 3 people with enough leftovers for a decent lunch the next day. Also place was pretty empty on a normal dinner time on Father’s Day, so it’s usually not that crowded. The parking is paid street parking.

Overall, this restaurant makes a perfect lace to enjoy some sushi and Japanese shies in peace with good service and good atmosphere. Five stars! Definitely worth a visit! 🔥

Food was good. Service was terrible. It’s been half an hour since we’ve finished eating and as I’m writing this I still haven’t gotten a check.

Absolutely blown away by this ramen spot! The portion sizes were huge - more than enough to leave you full and happy. Every bowl was packed with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that hit all the right notes. The real star, though, was the dumplings crispy, golden, and hands-down the best I’ve ever had. You can taste the care in every bite, and the flavors are just on another level. If you’re craving top-tier ramen and unforgettable

My friends and I absolutely love coming here for the food and atmosphere. The restaurant is small but not overcrowded. The interior is decorated beautifully, and it’s never too loud or busy. Great place to enjoy a calm evening out.
