They're doing an excellent job of carrying the torch in a spot that has served as a neighborhood staple coffee shop for decadesBeware, they've found major traction on social media over the last year or so, and are well-deservedly extremely crowded every weekend morning as a result

Best cafe in the area (imho). Excellent speciality coffee drinks, breakfast, and overall atmosphere (especially the patio on a nice day).

A charming little place with plenty of seating options (high top, inside, outside, shaded, bar top, etc) and inviting music. Could be a good place for solo eaters with laptops, but I did find it very loud when tables were full because of the tight spaces and louder music. They have some food but are primarily a drink place, I didn’t see any gluten friendly food if you need that. The drip coffee was…fruity(?) but service was kind and they serve it in a mug or glass if you’re eating in-house.Oh and it’s dog friendly as they have a lot of outdoor seating, and free WiFi.

The baristas really need to be quicker or invest in a larger espresso maker. Take too long for a coffee.

Great coffee, one of the best places to get a good chai in DC, and loved the focaccia bread toast options, almost forgot to snap a pic!

I cannot say enough about the absolute deliciousness of every single morsel we had. The food is fresh, scrumptious and truly made with love. The pastries are out OF THIS WORLD!!!! Thank you to the friendly staff and incredible owner who made our experience memorable.
Given that the staff was nice enough to reply and ask for more context, I figured I’d fill this out and turn it into a full review.I’ve been here twice while visiting Alexandria, once alone and once with a family member. In all three of those cases, we ordered a flavored coffee beverage from the seasonal menu. There was a good variety of items that I tried across these two visits and each time I (or my travel companion) was disappointed. The flavors were uniformly very one note, the level of sweetness added was cloying and not very enjoyable (and I say that as someone who typically likes mochas and other flavored beverages on the sweet side), and the coffee itself was very average. Each time there was little to no seating available, so I can’t really comment on the ambiences, and prices were high compared to other coffee drinks in the area I enjoyed more.Overall it was fine (all three drinks were finished), but we weren’t very impressed so it gets two stars.
