Easy going vibes with a DC price tag. The she crab soup was just ok, but the poke bowl was worth a return visit. My server was adequate--a tad distracted. Overall, the restaurant wasn't the best ever, but it seems reliable, and I'd definitely go back.

True Food locations can be hit or miss. La Jolla Village in San Diego nails it...fast service, great food. Ballston isn't as consistent and when busy, service can be slow. I’ve ordered crispy pizza at other locations with perfect results, but here both the pepperoni and spinach & mushroom came out doughy, more like a standard bar pie. The saving grace is the atmosphere... outdoor seating is perfect for cocktails, conversation, and people-watching.

We had a great family dinner with delicious food and excellent service. The server (Henry) was very attentive to the several allergies at our table. But one of us had significant allergies/sensitivities and realized that they could not have any of the desserts (coconut and tree nut allergy).
