Had a great experience at Tupelo Honey. Service was good. I wish I remembered our servers name but she was friendly and provided great recommendations. It was a treat to get sweet tea because a lot of places don't have it here. I had the fried chicken and it was yummy.

Great menu and a lovely brunch for catching up with old friends. Try the blueberry lemondrop mimosa for a treat!

Great place. Sat on the patio which was PERFECT. Had the spicy chicken ranch sandwich and it was delicious.

Mother’s Day brunch

We had a reservation but it was pretty light & steady before the church crowd. Nice vibe, casual dining with great music. The hostess seemed a bit disheveled - in appearance & attitude - seemed like she rolled out of bed and was doing her best to make it through the day but that set the tone for our experience. Our server Jose did his best but it was a little slow for how many tables he did have.

We ordered a Peach Bellini and mimosa flight as a toast. Our meals - Brussels sprouts were delicious and crispy, surf & turf was over cooked - everything was too crispy & tough, blackened mahi was delicious, Mac & cheese was cold and therefore the cheese wasn’t melted so it tasted like noodles & cheese, braised collards were decent but cold as well, and the house salad with chicken was standard.

Between the service and cold food, this was underwhelming especially for Mother’s Day cause Mama was not impressed! I’m not writing it off because I can taste the potential but maybe I’ll have to try again when it’s not a special occasion.

I have given Tupelo Honey a fair chance—having dined here three times—but unfortunately, two out of those three visits left us very disappointed. While the southern style food is above average, the service and attitude of the staff-from the front door to the kitchen—have consistently missed the mark.

Let’s start with the most recent visit, which sealed our decision not to return.

I ordered for the Love of Cobb salad, and immediately noticed the dressing had an unusually tangy, almost “off” taste. Concerned it may have been the wrong one—possibly a Caesar with anchovies—I politely asked our server. Without a word, he took the dressing away. A few minutes later, a second gentleman appeared (never introduced himself, but we assume he was either the owner, the chef ? or a manager). What followed was incredibly unprofessional. He responded to my question in a condescending, borderline aggressive tone, stating they “do not have anchovies in this restaurant” and that “all dressings are made in-house.” I calmly explained that since they do offer a Caesar salad, I simply made an incorrect guess. Rather than acknowledge or de-escalate, he doubled down on his defensive attitude, again asserting their anchovy-free policy with clear annoyance.
The tone and demeanor were unnecessarily rude, making it obvious the conversation wasn’t going anywhere productive. He never offered another option, correction or apology. His dressing was disgustingly off so I ended up eating my salad without dressing which was disappointing, especially considering the price point and expectations.

To be fair: if you're craving deep friedn food like fried chicken, bacon, or waffles, this place delivers. Their Southern comfort fare is where they shine. But, if you’re looking for healthier options or decent hospitality, look elsewhere. The attitude here suggests that customer feedback isn’t welcome—and neither, apparently, are questions.

There are simply too many great restaurants in Arlington to waste time and money on one that can’t treat diners with basic courtesy. Won’t be back.

I wonder if management has changed because this experience definitely left much to be desired compared to my previous visits. First, I was disappointed to hear that the restaurant didn't validate parking, when on my last visit I was told that it DID. The server verified and informed us that they used to validate parking but discontinued that practice. On the main website it just says "street and garage parking available," without any further information on whether there is a cost for parking. I happen to know of nearby garages that are free, but being that I was running behind and had been told before that parking was validated, I used the garage right beside the restaurant. I was frustrated at having to unnecessarily pay $6 for parking. Second, when my companion arrived, because we were having a working breakfast with our laptops, she asked whether there was seating in an area close to an electrical outlet and with some screen privacy, such as a booth or space where people couldn't look over our shoulders. She was informed that there was no such space available, even though we stayed at the restaurant for nearly two hours and saw several spaces that would have accommodated our needs that went unused, or were given to people who arrived much later than us, even though we had a reservation. Even our server didn't seem to know what the situation was with those unfilled seats. We were inconvenienced and actually had to leave earlier than we planned to, as one of our computers needed recharging. It's unfortunate because the food has always been delicious, but we did not feel particularly welcome that day. Not sure if I'll be going back or even whether I'll recommend it to anyone else.

The Mahi Mahi was amazing—my
daughter said the same about the salmon. My husband ordered turf-n-surf, and they brought out shrimp and grits instead. Maybe we just chock that up to not hearing well over the hum of the dining room because the server was good besides that mishap. Good thing he enjoys that almost as much, and it was a good shrimp and grits!

If you’re in Upper Arlington Ohio, plan a visit to Tupelo Honey for dinner, food was fantastic, service was exceptional, and treat yourself to a couple of their Bee’s Elbow martini’s!

I want to start by highlighting the great service we received from Lawrence. He greeted my party and I at the door with warmth and professionalism, which made us feel very welcome.

Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by our server, Paris. We were charged for an entrée I never ordered, and a dessert we believed was complimentary as it was meant to celebrate my friend’s birthday. These issues left a sour note on what could have been a great visit. Because of this, I’m unlikely to return to the establishment.

I was looking for a local spot before heading back north and found Tupelo Honey. It was absolutely fantastic. We were greeted, asked if we had been before and the kind gentleman told us his favorites. The entire experience at this spot was amazing. Kind employees, excellent food, comfortable seating, quick service. I even truly enjoyed the decor which is something I dont often really pay attention to. We'll be back when we're back in the area again. Highly recommend.

Easter Sunday early dinner (4:15) It was very crowded so we were seated a bit late. The manager offered his apologies. Our family and friends (10!) enjoyed the excellent service. Food was delicious!

We used to love this restaurant and frequented it when we wanted a good meal. Haven't eaten there in 2-3 years and I was surprised by what I found. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and the service, wait on the food, and quality of the food reflected it. The manager was very apologetic, which I appreciated, but I won't be going back anytime soon.
