Came here in our trip to DC. It's one of the brunch spots we had. My family and I are, let's say, pretty much like breakfast snobs. This place was great! The twisted French toast was different but delightful. The food all around was spot on! The location was crowded, and wait was a little long, but we were a party of 6. It was totally worth it! Check them out the location was very cute too

Work in the area, and found this place by mistake. I placed an online order and picked up a baby-back rib sandwich and fries, good. Today I ordered a Sausage egg and cheese sandwich, is was 10.50 and came with fries. That alone is a steal in this neighborhood, the sandwich was great, would have been better had I paid attention and ordered a scrambled egg, instead of runny. They have the perfect fries, crunchy, seasoned , just good. My only complaint is the entry door, its slightly hard to get in and get out.

Pros:
Brunch is amazing with really good food and drink options, I particularly love their fresh watermelon juice and french toast.
GREAT prices for brunch..
Clean environment and atmosphere
Awesome upscale diner experience
Cons:
I am assuming it was the manager/owner in the button up with the cap always on - not the best to person to be customer facing imo.
Dinner menu extremely overpriced
The first restaurant Ive had mushy calamari at
I had nothing but great things to say about their brunch but their dinner makes me reconsider ever returning it was so disheartening

Came in for All-Day Brunch and was told it stops at 3pm…how can ALL-DAY brunch have an end if it’s suppose to be All-day?! Regardless we stayed and ordered the calamari…trash. The breading was barely crispy and it was warm. The sauce was a lack luster hot sauce. We ended up splitting a crab soup which could have easily came out a can. Seriously Campbell’s would have done a better job. Stick to breakfast if you’re coming here don’t try the dinner menu. Also as far as service the waiter reminded me of grumpy…he was not approachable and seemed like he’d rather be elsewhere.

Ok service, but the food was terrible. I ordered an $18 Caesar salad entree and asked if the chicken was grilled. The server confirmed it was. As pictured, it was not grilled. It was bland, the skin seemed to be pulled off, cut into awkwardly large pieces, and it had no seasoning or flavor. The salad portion was smaller than my friends side salad that came with her sandwich. The table was really wobbly. We ordered fries which were inconsistently cooked - some underdone, some overly crispy.

Dope spot with dank eats! Smallest sinks I ever saw! Swung by with me fam to dine with my cuz - it was great. The food was delicious and the service was decent. This place might be on Garfield St, but it is also on the border of bussin'
You are unlikely to be disappointed

We had brunch here the food was delicious and the service was not good. Nice place to take parents or relatives who are visiting. We waited almost 20 minutes to order and had to ask for more coffee and water several times. We were not in a rush so the wait was not a problem.

Been coming here for about a year or so. The atmosphere is pretty cozy, and I think that the staff is very friendly. Usually I get the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, and it was amazing when I ordered it for the first month or two, albeit very messy.Everytime I've ordered after those first couple months though, the sandwich always seemed to be undercooked. The chicken would be red and not very hot at all. At first I thought maybe it was just a one time mistake, but consistently over the past year it's been undercooked, which is why I basically stopped coming to the store.I decided to get this sandwich again today because I was craving it and I thought maybe it would be better, but no, it was the same as always. I was pretty disappointed.Like I mentioned earlier, the staff is great and the store itself is really nice. But I'm just a bit burned by the fact that this sandwich always seems to never come out right. If you plan on eating here I would suggest ordering a breakfast item like the French Toast or the smash burger instead.

First time visiting Uncommon Luncheonette today. Was outstanding! Waffles were great, fluffy and chewy. Coffee excellent, I prefer a little milder than Starbucks and this was perfect. The breakout star was the sausages that came with the waffle — they were exceptional! Fresh and way better than you normally get at breakfast restaurants. Ambiance is really pleasant & beautiful retro diner decor. Only issue was $3.50 for a single egg on the side. And of course no one orders just one. That’s excessive & not particularly customer-friendly.

This place has really really great sandwiches and great portions for the money. Do yourself a favor and get some French onion soup. Our waiter was kind and prompt. Would love to go here again!

We had a great meal at this friendly restaurant in Clarendon, not far from the Clarendon Metro stop. Nick, the pleasant manager, took time out to chat a few minutes. Kayla was our cheerful, experienced server. She checked on us often and let us substitute some items for a small fee as we are in the Keto diet. The food was most delicious, especially the tender crispy cheese curds. Kudos to the cook! We hope to come back the next time we are in your neighborhood. Thanks so much.

Got the breakfast platter. Most of the food was reheated. Bacon chewy. Guy behind the counter was shaky and timid. Weird guy. He may a victim of something.Good parts:Sunny sideup eggs without that pesky yolk stuff.Microwaved potatoes were spiced appropriately. They don't accept cash either. A nice touch. I personally don't enjoy dining near hard-working brown people and other marginalized groups. This helps make that possible.I was very hungry and got myself to eat most of it. Better than breakfast above the courthouse but overall would not recommend. There's better places to go nearby.
Dietary restrictions: I asked for no dairy and they kindly added some butter to my toast.
