Used to be my favorite on the go breakfast spot, but they’ve changed their food and at this point I don’t see myself going back.

Breakfast sandwiches (which used to be BOMB) are now made using a single piece of bread that’s awkwardly folded over. I asked them why I was paying full price for half a sandwich and the guy making the food was super rude about it. The eggs put in the sandwiches have also changed. Overall very disappointing development for a place I use to love.

Management, if you’re seeing this - please revert back!

Very disappointed that my favorite foods have been taken off the menu. Loved the meatballs and grilled cheese as well as the multigrain bread. I was also told today that my favorite breakfast sandwich (sausage and cheddar) is going away. I don’t know if I’ll continue to come here as often given these changes. Additionally, I have been coming here at least 1-2x/week for more than a year but have yet to receive any rewards to redeem, even though my account is linked to my credit card.

I ordered the turkey club no siracha mayonnaise with turkey bacon as I do not eat pork and mayonnaise upsets my stomach. It took around 15-20 mins for me to get my sandwich and there was only one other customer waiting with me. Given the amount of time it took, I expected the sandwich to be amazing only to be disappointed. 1) There was barely any turkey on the sandwich. For a $16 sandwich, I expected substantial amount of meat. 2) The sandwich was not toasted. 3) The inside of the sandwich was drenched in Siracha mayonnaise. The sandwich was basically a mayonnaise sandwich with tomatoes, onions, and way too much shredded lettuce. Due to the mayonnaise, I had to throw the sandwich away. I had already driven away to an appointment, so I did not have time to turn around and request my money back. Let me emphasize, I NEVER ask for my money back at a restaurant. If I don't like the food, I'll just deal with it understanding that there are times that we won't like the food, such is life, but this was beyond disappointing and I would really like a refund. The restaurant is way overpriced for what you get. I'll never return and highly recommend that you not go there.

Had a delicious breakfast sandwich and cappuccino… The staff is so helpful and friendly… Rowan, Jordan, Matt and Rachael… The whole team was awesome! Other places don’t care about customer experience as much and have a ho hum approach to their food… Not the Ballston union kitchen!

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon Union Kitchen in March 2024. As new residents in the area, we were looking for a place to be regulars. The employees were super friendly and helped my girlfriend (who is allergic to soy) customize her sandwiches. We strive to get coffee daily. Highly recommend finding unique food items too!

I got an avacado toast, but i was not aware they would pour honey on it. i was expecting it to be savory, not sweet. It was alright, but i was a bit disappointed. their chai latte was very good. i tried to use the bathroom, and it would not open. asked the staff several times, and they were not attentive. so i gave up washing my hands. personally would not repeat.

This used to be one of my neighborhood favorites however, sadly, the food quality has declined and of course prices have gone up. Just got a chicken sandwich there yesterday and it was mediocre at best. Dry overcooked chicken, barely any aioli sauce and basic white bread. Not ideal for $11.99!
Cookies are now something like $4 a piece!!
Try Sweet Leaf down the road near taco bamba…They have great sammies, smoothies and salads.

The food and coffee is delicious. They have nice seating inside and outside. There’s also a cute little store inside to shop around while you wait for your food. The only negative is the employees, they always seem so miserable.

It's a small neighborhood café/grocery store that sells a variety of items, including freshly made sandwiches, coffee drinks, and other products. We ordered an iced coffee, a matcha latte, and chocolate chip cookies, and they were all really good. It was a nice break to sit by the window and watch people walk by.
