This is my first 1-star rating I've ever given. I was walking through Crystal City somewhat hungry and stumbled upon Young Chow. I arrived there maybe 40 mins before closing time (when it said open). I asked the gentlemen at the front - who seemed to also be the owner - that I'd like to order soup, he replied "that's all?" I said "yes"...long story short he turned me away because it "wasn't enough of an order". I smiled and nodded okay in amazement of being turned down for the first time, and walked away. I need not to say anything about his/their customer service. One star.

Very rude for no reason, asking him a question about the food we don't know it's a bother?...food is ok but not worth the disrespect we got from the older man.

The owner or whoever he is very rude, he acts as of we were begging for food, so went next door. Instead

Food here is moderately more authentic than average American Chinese food. Service is below average and food tends to be overpriced. I wouldn’t visit them unless I really don’t have other choice.

I'm rarely disappointed by Chinese food, but this was disappointing. I ordered shrimp dumplings, pan-fried pork buns, and hot & sour soup. The shrimp dumplings tasted just a little fishy, the hot & sour soup was good, and the pan-fried buns were a big disappointment. I couldn't tell they had been fried, in a pan or otherwise, and they were gloppy and damp as if they had been sitting in a quarter-inch of water for a while. They were edible, but not enjoyable.

This is a very polarizing restaurant to seems, but I actually dig it. Maybe I don't have enough Chinese food experience, but I was quite impressed. I've tried the crispy chicken which I was blown away with, the double cooked pork which was solid, and my girlfriend got the chow fun noodles with beef twice. The first time we agreed the chow fun was great, the second time she wasn't into it but I enjoyed the leftovers the next day even if they were a little too oily from sitting there.I like spicy food, and I would say that I was satisfied with the spice levels of their menu items. Pretty comfortable if you eat spicy a lot, probably not if you don't. Think spicier than Wing Stop buffalo wings, but not near the atomic, probably in the middle-ish.Other considerations: My stomach was definitely a little upset the next day, but that's pretty normal with oily, spicy food, no points docked. There's not good parking, but I walked since it's close or parked behind the building at CVS for pickup. Finally, this is also a bar that's next to a strip club. I walked into the strip club on accident while walking from the back and thought it was a cool experience. This pushes it to five stars because I like to keep it greasy.

We where shocked that so many people rated this place so high and made us wonder if they all had been to a really good Chinese restaurant. The sauces looked chemical and tasted funky. The pork meat didn’t taste like pork at all and could easily be dog food. It was not all bad but let us say it was a one time experience.

I had a fairly large take-out order of a variety of their meals. They all seemed pretty good and we enjoyed it. Towards the end of the meal we opened a container of sweet and sour sauce and had some bugs in it. I immediately called them and let them know to stop serving it and they agreed to do a bette job of covering up the sauces.

Ordered Spicy chicken and broccoli and Kung pao chicken. Which both come with white rice and specifically asked for white rice to make sure. It comes with fried rice and they tell me we was out of white rice and didn't have time to call us since we ordered online. I asked for a refund and they said ok the driver will come pickup the food and if we have white rice we will bring it. They also claimed that they don't run their website!

This is where I have tasted the best flavor of Hot and Sour Soup, period. The flavor is out of the standard but acceptable as a good variant. Highly recommended.

Very rude people work here....including the delivery driver. Never ordering food from this dump. Price is too high for Chinese food.

Staff wore no masks. More of a bar than a restaurant. Food was unremarkable, lacked any sort of spice. Avoid.
