I want to give a shout out to Mr. Ham, Jobbi, and MJ. I stayed at a hotel near this fine establishment and I visited it quite frequently for dinner. Their omakase is absolutely incredible, and sitting at the bar watching them prepare the food was an awesome experience. They were very kind, and super welcoming. They have an vast understanding of the meals they are preparing for you, and they only use premium cuts. Literally the meat melts in your mouth, it was sooooo good. I will definitely visit them again on my next trip out. I stayed at this hotel for over 2 weeks, and this was the only restaurant I went to eat at more than once. They made me feel like I was family, they new what I wanted when I walked in, and they remembered our previous conversations from nights prior and were very engaging. I would highly recommend to anyone who inquires. Hands down one of the best restaurants experiences in the area.

Been here in DC for 8 months and this is the first Japanese restaurant that we saved! Me and my husband have been living in Japan for few years and I can tell this rest has very good sashimi and sushi. Next time we will come to try omakase :)

Amazing sushi and great service! The waitress was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. The fish was super fresh and the plates came out looking gorgeous. Will be back again!
Not sure why I've never stopped by. So glad I did. ~$7 for delicious sushi rolls. Spicy tuna and salmon rolls with avocado were amazing, as was the miso soup. Hot sake and green tea ice cream was also a 10/10. Friendly staff. This place deserves more love.
Overrated. People most likely come here because it's close to their work. I've visited a few times because my colleagues visit here. My recent visit the server was a bit rude and food was subpar. It felt like the server was being condescending to me and another colleague in our eight people group. I ended up ordering the Chicken Katsu and it was bad. The veggies were wet, the fried chicken had no flavor, the rice was a little hard, and it was served with BBQ sauce!!! I have had Chicken Katsu before in other comparable Japanese restaurants and never once had it served with BBQ sauce that tasted like it was bought at a grocery store. Not sure if that's standard here, but very disappointing. The overall seemingly rude demeanor of the server killed mood. There was also hair in my boss' salad...guess that adds to flavor! I've been to sushi places by the metro with better service and tastier food. Never again this place!

Awful sushi, you can chew like rubber gum. You should get sushi from H Mart because it's cheaper and fresher!

Had the 75$ omakase - my fiance and I did the mixed sushi and sashimi set. Gosh it was so much food! Premium cuts only. So good and so worth it. Favourites were toro hand roll, and fatty salmon. Definitely going back.

A few friends and I went to Yuraku for lunch today and overall enjoyed our meal. I ordered the lunch special sushi and sashimi combo and it definitely satisfied my sushi craving. The fish tasted fresh, the ratio of fish to rice was perfect, and portions were great. I didn't care much for the side of miso soup and salad that came with, but I will definitely return for more of their lunch specials!
