Such a shame we only found out about them this month. :( They’re so great and are the only bbq spot in VA that makes me miss Texas less. The fact that they have multiple sauces lets me have my sweet and my husband have his vinegar in peace. Where else can someone get actual collared greens and gumbo <3

Great local BBQ spot here in Ashburn. Melt in your mouth brisket and on point baked beans. Service was great as well as the quick wait. Will be back again next time im craving BBQ.

The food was okay. It wasn't that great. The sweet potatoes were not sweet and had a weird after taste. The potato salad was okay, again with that weird after taste. The Arkansas brisket had a strong start with taste but then the taste would fall off into this weird spice as you continued to chew.

The ham was good, slightly salty but good. The mac and cheese was okay, it wasn't the best I had but not the worst. The cornbread was the best part of this meal.

Also, the peach cobbler wasn't that great, it tasted very dough like. In my opinion for the price of food, the portion size was skimp as well. I would only eat here again if I wasn't paying for it.

Overall 3/5

My 2 cents worth;
If the Balck Hog original sause or the vinegar base had the "bite" of the southern greens....awesome!

Great barbecue. Ribs were tender and meaty, briscuit was smoky with a nice seasoned bark, and pulled pork was all meat, no junk. The sauces were also very good, especially the carolina vinegar.

My fiancé came in 30 minutes before they closed, unintentionally, online it says they close at 10 that’s not the case. The food was pretty good we had the chicken wings , pork shoulder and a few sides. Since we came in before they closed everything wasn’t super fresh but it was still really good. Nick took our order and made sure we had everything we needed during our visit. He had great customer service and took our visit for good to excellent!

Overall: 5.3/10
Black Hog offers a straightforward dining experience in a tidy setting with friendly service and a variety of BBQ options.

Atmosphere: 5.3/10
The establishment is somewhat basic but clean, featuring an open kitchen viewable through a window. The layout is spacious, accommodating with an uncomplicated, diner-friendly vibe.

Service: 6.1/10
Service at Black Hog is commendable; staff members are welcoming and efficient. The menu is easy to navigate, enhancing the overall dining experience. Meals are delivered timely, and complimentary water is a thoughtful touch.

Arkansas Brisket: 6.9/10
Flavorful and well-prepared, the brisket is boldly seasoned with sweet and spicy notes. It's best enjoyed with a side of bread to temper its robustness.

Mac n Cheese: 5.1/10
This side dish is basic, neither disappointing nor impressive.

Baked Beans: 5.1/10
Similarly unremarkable, the baked beans are standard fare.

Bacon Cheese Burger: 5.4/10
The burger is adequately prepared with fresh vegetables and a decent patty, though the bun is average and the price slightly high for what is offered.

Reading a bunch of other reviews, I had some concerns.. I hope I can provide valued input for those with similar concerns.

To everyone, I would say this spot is definitely worth checking out. I was in the mood for BBQ and the food looked and smelled delicious.

There were 4 of us in our party. We ordered: 1lb TX brisket, 1lb AK brisket, Full rack of ribs, 8 wings, collards and coleslaw.

We each liked a different item for different reasons but the important thing was, it was all great! The Ribs were my favorite (dry rub)

The slaw with the burnt ends was soooo good!

I would definitely come back here.

Was disappointed. Brisket was not very tender for the price. $28 for a meal and was expecting top quality food for that. Better brisket at hammerdown and monks locally.

The baked beans were good. The potatoes salad was okay. Cornbread was good but not really what you go to a restaurant like this for. They should have the option to choose multiple meats for the platter, and then maybe the pricing would make sense depending on the serving size.

I'm not sure if this is a chain restaurant or not, but either way, it was mediocre, and I do not plan to go again soon, unfortunately. I may give another go when they have ribs or wing specials, but the full price menu items were a letdown.

This place is awesome, they had a lot of bbq options, which I appreciate in a BBQ place. We ordered lots of different food and I can honestly say that not a single thing on the menu disappointed. You just need to pick what sounds good to you. The staff was super friendly and answered any questions we had. The place looks very new and the building had a nice vibe inside as well. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best BBQ places in Loudoun County! Not hard to get to find off of Hwy 7. I was really glad they had a good menu of meats and and side items. I had the beef brisket sandwich and it was excellent taste and moist. Awesome! The person at the counter taking my order, suggested items that I was describing, and my order matched my expectations perfectly. Will be back!

Anyone who gave this place less than 5 stars was having a bad day when they visited. The food and customer service are top-notch. My office orders from here at least once a month and we love it! They are budget friend and there's something on the menu for everyone's diet and taste. If I could give them more stars I would.
