My 7yo asked for trainer chopsticks and while they didn’t have them, the servers fashioned some from a pair of adult chopsticks and a napkin! The smile on my 7yo’s face was just amazing! I genuinely wish the restaurant offered online reservations through a platform such as OpenTable. Being able to reserve a table ahead of time would make an already great restaurant significantly more convenient.

And that’s really the only reason I’m giving Ashburn Pub four stars instead of five.

The staff? Five stars.
The drinks? Five stars.
The food? Five stars.
The prices? Five stars.
The seating availability? That’s where the extra star gets lost.

Ashburn Pub has everything you want from a great neighborhood establishment: excellent food, fantastic drinks, genuinely friendly service, and prices that won’t leave you wondering whether you accidentally paid for the building.

Four stars from me—but if they ever add more seating or implement a reliable reservation system, this would easily be a five-star experience.

Until then, plan ahead and be prepared to compete with the rest of Ashburn for a table or a seat at the bar if you’re especially lucky that day.”

“Came here post wedding on a Saturday night and it was PACKED. Fortunately, we found some seats on the upstairs patio. Surprisingly, there were constantly servers walking around asking drink orders and cleaning up empty glasses and bottles. I was very impressed with this considering how busy it was and typically bars do not offer this service, especially during peak hours.”

“Really enjoyed the food here. I personally had the Panni Puri and Paneer Makhini.
The panni puri filling was lovely, but for the price I very much wish they offered more filling, specifically more potato and chick pea. The filling was dominated by onion and we had to strategically ration the filling across the puffs.
The panner is so soft and silky, I highly recommend no matter what dish you get it in. The panner makhani was creamy with a slight sweetness, a great option for those who like mild dishes.
Service was very kind and welcoming.”

“I came for lunch and got enchiladas. You order at the counter, but are served on a nice dish with pleasant plating. The enchiladas were very good: the chicken was soft and full of flavor and the sauce has a pleasant sweetness you hope for. The rice and beans that accompanied were nice as well. Service was fast and everyone was accommodating. The only minor negative I have is that the place feels slightly run down - no where near hole in the wall but some wear was showing on the sauce bottles and decorations. I will easily come here again to enjoy the great food and service while appreciating the aesthetics despite the very minor wear.”

I get a call from one loudon south block-Kyle and he calls me to notify me that i left my wallet at the store. He found my wallet, looked at online orders to see if my info was online- clutch- found my name and nfo and called me. I was so elated and thankful. I was dar from the store so I asked him to please store it and I'll pick it up tomorrow. He did and I later thanked him.”

“The best! They get their salmon fresh everyday and you can tell. Watch the sushi chefs - 6 guys behind the bar working constantly when they are busy. All of their food tastes so fresh and tasty. The Good:
-Tasty food at a decent price
-Wait time was also reasonable
-Staff was friendly
-Establishment was clean and relatively attractive, though there were a lot of loose wires
-Good amount of menu options and customizations

The Less Good:
-Interactive ordering kiosk could definitely be improved by having more photos of the menu items
-The takeout ramen I got (pictured) had no broth. I don't know if that would be the same eating in, but I do enjoy having broth. It was literally just noodles, though the ramen saw in the container for an hour before I could eat it and may have gotten absorbed. Still, I would've thought the noodles would've been puffier or broth would remain.
-Only one ordering kiosk though I assume you could order at the counter too

If you just want a food option, it's a good <$20 place. If you expect to get boba, you're more likely to hit the $20-30 price range per person.”

From the moment I stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The decor beautifully reflects Pakistani culture, adding to the overall dining experience. The food was exceptional! The Karahi was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, just like the ones I’ve had in Lahore. The Biryani was aromatic, with tender meat and perfectly balanced spices. The Nihari was a standout—slow-cooked to perfection and bursting with traditional flavors. And let’s not forget the freshly baked Tandoori Roti, which was soft and complemented every dish beautifully. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and even recommended some hidden gems. If you’re looking for an authentic Pakistani dining experience, Lakshmi Chowk is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!”

I wanted some things I couldn't see on the order form online and she was so very accommodating, gracious and so quick to respond. I ordered 8 mini cheesecakes (Nutella, lavender, blueberry, saffron, red velvet and plain) and a 9" chocolate cheesecake with chocolate ganache. Everything was so beautifully presented...one of those moments where you eat first with your eyes in anticipation because you almost don't want to cut into it. They all were fantastic...tasting true to their flavors and the ingredients were so incredibly fresh with just the right amount of balance of spice, sweet and slight tang. I'm sensitive to ingredients and I had no reactions so I knew hers were top quality. As this was for a special occasion with a friend coming into town, it really made her visit extra special. I would definitely recommend her cheesecake to anyone who loves quality cheesecake and wonderful customer service. You can feel the love and passion she puts into everything she touches with her business. Hoping more people discover just how talented she is.”

“I used Big Kyle BBQ for an informal sports banquet of 350 high school boys and their families. (There were over 200 male athletes between the age of 15-25). From my first text to billing, it was absolute perfection. Courteous staff, helpful in every way. As soon as he arrived, I showed him the lay of the land, I told him my goal and he offered suggestions as to what would flow better. I trusted him and it worked as he said it would. Let’s not even talk about the food. I was talking to a colleague and mentioned that the salmon was the best I’ve had. He looked at me and said, salmon is not your typical bbq fare. I told him with a group this big you have to satisfy your pescatarians who all raved about how good it was and came up to me just to tell me they were so happy with the meal. It was so good, it didn’t need any sauce. It was moist, flavorful and fresh. I received so many compliments on the brisket, mac and cheese etc. We will be using Big Kyle again, not only for school events but also for my own personal events.”

One of the owners, Tin, took the time to ask about my visit to the ER and asked if I was alright. It was my first time meeting her, and she was a gracious person who made me smile and hugged me better.

Cafe Opera has been in business over 20 years, and I think it's not just a testament to the quality of the food, but also in the way they treat their customers.

Loyalty and success of a business comes down to not just the food but also the way in which customers are treated. I truly appreciated Tin's genuine care.

“Came here on a weekend and it was jumping. there was a line but the door guy did a good job of keeping it controlled and getting folks in. When I got closer I got to watch him in action as some upset drunk woman were being rude and mean to him for not letting them in. He was very collected with the situation while they were calling him a racist and all sorts of names. I apologized to him when I got to him but he just smiled adjusted his hat and started making jokes. The GM held the door open for my friends and I when he came to check on the security guard. All of the staff we encountered were professional and fun. We will be coming back to try the food next week. I wish I could give the staff five stars as well.”

“Great Sunday Brunch ! Our waiter, Freddy greeted us and listened as we chatted about our excitement of visiting the restaurant for the first time. From then on, it was apparent that his goal was to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. The menu was so inviting that we did not want to choose. The four of us decided to get the unlimited small plate menu. The portions were very generous and all were extremely delicious! Hard to pick a favorite but the chicken and waffles skillet was excellent; salmon and grits, fried green tomatoes, crawfish wantons, all made for a wonderful brunch ! Nothing disappointed! Because we had read about the craft cocktails and had already decided which ones to get, Freddy was able to engage the bartender, Chloe to work her magic. The drinks were a big hit!! The service was provided by a staff which appeared to have been hand chosen by Taylor, the GM. They were very polite and friendly. Taylor, himself was attentive and visited with all of the guests. I’ve never had a Kolache before, but YUM. my family and I tried multiple different flavors and EVERY SINGLE Kolache was devoured (which is rare for my young toddlers!).
