Plus the amazing Bussers, and hosts, make a very friendly presence and enjoyable meals. It’s a tribute to the managers, and training. “I came for lunch and got enchiladas. You order at the counter, but are served on a nice dish with pleasant plating. The enchiladas were very good: the chicken was soft and full of flavor and the sauce has a pleasant sweetness you hope for. The rice and beans that accompanied were nice as well. Service was fast and everyone was accommodating. The only minor negative I have is that the place feels slightly run down - no where near hole in the wall but some wear was showing on the sauce bottles and decorations. I will easily come here again to enjoy the great food and service while appreciating the aesthetics despite the very minor wear.”

The Good:
-Tasty food at a decent price
-Wait time was also reasonable
-Staff was friendly
-Establishment was clean and relatively attractive, though there were a lot of loose wires
-Good amount of menu options and customizations

The Less Good:
-Interactive ordering kiosk could definitely be improved by having more photos of the menu items
-The takeout ramen I got (pictured) had no broth. I don't know if that would be the same eating in, but I do enjoy having broth. It was literally just noodles, though the ramen saw in the container for an hour before I could eat it and may have gotten absorbed. Still, I would've thought the noodles would've been puffier or broth would remain.
-Only one ordering kiosk though I assume you could order at the counter too

If you just want a food option, it's a good <$20 place. If you expect to get boba, you're more likely to hit the $20-30 price range per person.”

“The best! They get their salmon fresh everyday and you can tell. Watch the sushi chefs - 6 guys behind the bar working constantly when they are busy. All of their food tastes so fresh and tasty. I wanted some things I couldn't see on the order form online and she was so very accommodating, gracious and so quick to respond. I ordered 8 mini cheesecakes (Nutella, lavender, blueberry, saffron, red velvet and plain) and a 9" chocolate cheesecake with chocolate ganache. Everything was so beautifully presented...one of those moments where you eat first with your eyes in anticipation because you almost don't want to cut into it. They all were fantastic...tasting true to their flavors and the ingredients were so incredibly fresh with just the right amount of balance of spice, sweet and slight tang. I'm sensitive to ingredients and I had no reactions so I knew hers were top quality. As this was for a special occasion with a friend coming into town, it really made her visit extra special. I would definitely recommend her cheesecake to anyone who loves quality cheesecake and wonderful customer service. You can feel the love and passion she puts into everything she touches with her business. Hoping more people discover just how talented she is.”

“I used Big Kyle BBQ for an informal sports banquet of 350 high school boys and their families. (There were over 200 male athletes between the age of 15-25). From my first text to billing, it was absolute perfection. Courteous staff, helpful in every way. As soon as he arrived, I showed him the lay of the land, I told him my goal and he offered suggestions as to what would flow better. I trusted him and it worked as he said it would. Let’s not even talk about the food. I was talking to a colleague and mentioned that the salmon was the best I’ve had. He looked at me and said, salmon is not your typical bbq fare. I told him with a group this big you have to satisfy your pescatarians who all raved about how good it was and came up to me just to tell me they were so happy with the meal. It was so good, it didn’t need any sauce. It was moist, flavorful and fresh. I received so many compliments on the brisket, mac and cheese etc. We will be using Big Kyle again, not only for school events but also for my own personal events.”

“We’re always looking for good Chinese food in the area, and happy to have stumbled upon this one. My husband and I ordered crispy beef, duck wraps, house lo mein and general tso’s chicken. The owner said we ordered too much lol

Crispy beef was very unique. Tasted good, it was fried in thick strips as opposed to the thin strips you usually see, and stayed crunchy throughout.

General Tso’s chicken was good too; large juicy chunks of meat with a good sauce.

Lo mein was great - our 3 year old ate half of the dish himself. The house lo mein was good because it had beef, chicken and shrimp all mixed together.

The only miss for us were the duck wraps. While the pancakes and hoisin sauce tasted good, the duck was way too gamey for our taste and we didn’t love the vegetables that came with it. The owner noticed we didn’t eat it and she recommended that next time we try the Cantonese style roast duck; less gamey and taste better.

We also got a pina colada smoothie which was fabulous!!

True to their restaurant name, they played opera music in the background and had an ongoing video of classical dances on the wall.

The owner was so attentive to our son, gave him crayons to draw with, and kept our water/ tea filled at all times.

Unfortunately we were the only people in the restaurant for dinner that night, I hope more people come try their food! We’ll definitely be back to try more things!”

Owners are very nice, I witnessed her once bring a fry pan out for customer to try sauce & she thought was too spicy so owner asked what she liked & invented her a new dish, and put it in computer so she could order it again. “Came here on a weekend and it was jumping. there was a line but the door guy did a good job of keeping it controlled and getting folks in. When I got closer I got to watch him in action as some upset drunk woman were being rude and mean to him for not letting them in. He was very collected with the situation while they were calling him a racist and all sorts of names. I apologized to him when I got to him but he just smiled adjusted his hat and started making jokes. The GM held the door open for my friends and I when he came to check on the security guard. All of the staff we encountered were professional and fun. We will be coming back to try the food next week. I wish I could give the staff five stars as well.”

“Great Sunday Brunch ! Our waiter, Freddy greeted us and listened as we chatted about our excitement of visiting the restaurant for the first time. From then on, it was apparent that his goal was to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. The menu was so inviting that we did not want to choose. The four of us decided to get the unlimited small plate menu. The portions were very generous and all were extremely delicious! Hard to pick a favorite but the chicken and waffles skillet was excellent; salmon and grits, fried green tomatoes, crawfish wantons, all made for a wonderful brunch ! Nothing disappointed! Because we had read about the craft cocktails and had already decided which ones to get, Freddy was able to engage the bartender, Chloe to work her magic. The drinks were a big hit!! The service was provided by a staff which appeared to have been hand chosen by Taylor, the GM. They were very polite and friendly. Taylor, himself was attentive and visited with all of the guests. I’ve never had a Kolache before, but YUM. my family and I tried multiple different flavors and EVERY SINGLE Kolache was devoured (which is rare for my young toddlers!). “Authors is an awesome local small-batch ice cream spot with a ton of creative, unique flavors. It has a quaint, fun vibe inside and feels like the kind of neighborhood place you want to keep coming back to.

The only thing to know is that the space is pretty small, so on a hot summer day you may want to plan accordingly. That said, it is absolutely worth the stop. I loved the caramel fig ice cream — super flavorful, unique, and balanced — and they also make a mean affogato.
