I appreciated the customer service and kindness from the owners. After leaving the ER, I bought tons of food so I wouldn't have to worry about cooking. One of the owners, Tin, took the time to ask about my visit to the ER and asked if I was alright. It was my first time meeting her, and she was a gracious person who made me smile and hugged me better.

Cafe Opera has been in business over 20 years, and I think it's not just a testament to the quality of the food, but also in the way they treat their customers.

Loyalty and success of a business comes down to not just the food but also the way in which customers are treated. I truly appreciated Tin's genuine care.

“My neice wanted to go to her favorite place for her 18th bday, so my sister called the Chin Chin Cafe and they said no problem. They had reserved tables when I arrived so I could decorate. Raymond was the MOD and was very helpful. We also had great customer service from the 3 employees working that night, it could not have gone any smoother! The timing of the food coming out was perfect!! Everything from the appetizers to the sushi to the main course dishes were delicious and plentiful. All our guests, especially the bday girl, were very happy. if you have not tried them yet, do yourself a favor and do so. “We were a large group so we shared each other’s entree. The papaya salad and mango sticky rice were outstanding. The salad was fresh and had the perfect amount of heat. The sticky rice featured juicy sweet sliced mango and the rice delicious and not overly sweet.

Expected better larb. Wasn’t bad just ok. The pad Thai was also ok. Again not bad, have had better. Going to a new Thai restaurant I use Pad Thai as one of my baseline dishes. A Thai restaurant that can’t absolutely plate killer Pad Thai can’t earn five stars.

I really enjoyed the pork Masaman curry. It was flavorful and everyone remarked about it. The crispy chicken was also delicious.

We also shared beef curry that was generally liked. Pineapple rice with shrimp was ok, nothing special.

Plan to come back and try something else. Was expecting something more.“

“I’m vegetarian and was very happy with food and service here. They clearly told me which items could be made vegan, which were all the rice and noodle dishes as well as the tom yum soup. They added tofu to every dish and it was all delicious. Mild spice was the perfect spice level, we got medium spice with the soup. That was a bit beyond my threshold, but the flavor was still so good. All of my items were labeled vegan on the boxes, which was reassuring. Glad to have authentic Thai food in Poolesville!“

“Got the wonton noodles off the menu instead of grub from the hot bar. They were okay. Definitely add some sriracha to kick the flavor up.

Recommendation to the owner…offer wonton noodles in a wet and dry form. Wet is what you do now. Dry you cook the noodles and add the noodles, wonton, and buk choy to a platter, and pour the soup in a smaller bowl on the side. The noodles and wonton stop cooking this way and don’t turn into mush. Also, invest in a jar of sambal!“

They offered to replace it with a different dish or asked if it would be okay to wait for 30 mins while they had fried rice ready.
