“On Tuesday, August 26, we were three persons at an early dinner on a Tuesday night. The service was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. I wish we had taken photos of the huge spring rolls with shrimp. My friends had Green curry, and Pad See Euw (sp) and I had Pad Thai, my test for first time at a Thai place. All the dishes were lovely with generous portions and the atmosphere in a little private alcove was great. I plan to return next week after visiting Glenstone.“

“Enjoyed some great dishes from here recently, all quite fresh and delicious. I loved their papaya salad, had the right amount of spice and crunch! The Massaman curry was quite good, nice and rich and the beef quality was pretty good. My favorite dish was the Sukiyaki (stir-fried clear noodles in homemade house special sauce with seafood, egg, cabbages, carrots, and scallions), great balance of sweet and spicy and the noodle were super soft. Would love to try order more from here, great addition to the other very good Thai restaurants already in the area.“

“I was in the area doing some shopping and wanted to take a break for lunch. I searched for Thai food nearby, and this restaurant popped up, so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because the food was delicious.

I ordered the Ka Praw with Chicken and it was really good. I also got a Thai tea, which was delicious and paired perfectly with my meal. The service was great as well. It was an extremely hot day, and they were very attentive about keeping my water glass filled, which I really appreciated.

Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. I love Thai food, and this spot did not disappoint.“

It’s very difficult to find good som tum because most places make it too sweet in order to meet local tastes in the States, so it’s always a good sign of quality when the som tum is good, and this one’s excellent. Nice balance citrusy,and lots of crunch and umami just the way it should be. Their other dishes are excellent too, the first place I’ve eaten from that reflects what authentic Thai food actually tastes like. “I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. “This is a solid place and a gem in Rockville & MoCo as they are the first restaurant to serve Laotian food. Their fried fish tofu is my go to app: it is delicately made and on point. Had their Lao khao soi for the first time and the freshness and quality of spare ribs and minced pork are top notch. Service can be slow as there is typically only one server working at lunch and I feel that they should have one more server as service can be slow at times. A huge bonus that they are on the AA dining program.“

Today my Uber Eats order got mixed up with someone else’s. Before I even had to reach out, the restaurant called me to explain what happened. They told me to keep the food I received and that my order was already on its way.

“My family has been coming here for years, and our children and their families enjoy this place too. But for me, what makes this restaurant especially meaningful is a simple tradition I share with my wife our Friday lunch.

Whenever we can, we come here on Friday, sit down, enjoy our favorite dishes, and let the busy week come to an end. It has become our little way of starting the weekend together.

Mookie and Blue are a big part of what makes this place so special. They always greet us with a smile, remember us and our usual order, and make us feel completely comfortable. We don’t have to think about much we just sit down, relax, enjoy our meal, and feel at home.

Over lunch, my wife and I usually start talking about our weekend maybe taking a drive, doing some sightseeing, finding a nice coffee shop, or simply enjoying some quiet time together.

Somehow, our weekend often begins right here.

Of course we love the food, but what keeps us coming back is the warmth, familiarity, and kindness. Sometimes a favorite restaurant becomes more than a place to eat it becomes part of your life and your memories.

“We were so excited to hear Dok Khao opened a Chevy Chase location! We used to drive to the Columbia restaurant, so having one closer to home is amazing.

“The restaurant we had planned to go to was closed, and being Vegan, our options are usually very llimited. We had noticed the storefront for Thai Express, so we went there instead. Wow! Excellent service, being vegan was no problem, and our food was great. Prices are great, food is great, server was great. will definitely be back.“

“This was one of those deals where I viewed the menu before I went to the restaurant. I sat outside because it was a nice evening.
I had the duck roll appetizer and crying tiger.
Everything came out pretty fast. I thought I had ordered duck spring rolls, but this turned out to be like a burrito, with julienned cucumber and hoisin sauce inside. It was alright, but I wasn’t really a fan.
The crying tiger was cooked perfectly medium rare like I asked. The sauce was a little thinner and lighter than I’m used to getting back in Thailand, but it tasted alright. The beef paired well with the steamed rice I opted for. I think, in retrospect, I would have preferred the nam Tok beef dish and the shrimp spring rolls. Maybe next time.“

“Chef Kitima Boonmala has a gift! Her Thai creations are nothing short of extraordinary. Boat noodle soup, white curry, whole dish, Khao soi, duck confit. Everything was divine. The sushi chef's creations are also noteworthy. Ingredients are very thoughtfully sourced. Some of the best sushi I've had. And they have a delicious + sophisticated selection of mocktails which is refreshing to experience. Can't wait to go back!“

Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! “Best Cashew Chicken in Northern Virginia!!

We have been going to Natta Thai for years and their cashew chicken is my comfort food, one of my favorite birthday dinners and just all around best meals. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, and the sauce is amazing, no other cashew chicken comes close!

The Satay chicken is also incredibly good and they give you great portions. I always get at least 2 meals out of the cashew chicken.“
