“Excellent! Must try! I went for a corporate lunch with my coworker. Drunken noodles and Tom Yum soup were so good! They served us really fast! Nong (the waitress) was so nice! I forgot to take a pic of my receipt for my corporate card, and called a few hours later to have them send me a copy. Nong was soooo nice again. Great service and great food! Definitely try this place! :0) I’ll be back for sure!“

“On Tuesday, August 26, we were three persons at an early dinner on a Tuesday night. The service was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. I wish we had taken photos of the huge spring rolls with shrimp. My friends had Green curry, and Pad See Euw (sp) and I had Pad Thai, my test for first time at a Thai place. All the dishes were lovely with generous portions and the atmosphere in a little private alcove was great. I plan to return next week after visiting Glenstone.“

“I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. I had a third, wonderful experience and i highly recommend it!“

“This is a solid place and a gem in Rockville & MoCo as they are the first restaurant to serve Laotian food. Their fried fish tofu is my go to app: it is delicately made and on point. Had their Lao khao soi for the first time and the freshness and quality of spare ribs and minced pork are top notch. Service can be slow as there is typically only one server working at lunch and I feel that they should have one more server as service can be slow at times. A huge bonus that they are on the AA dining program.“

“The area needed a good Thai restaurant like this! We went twice so far and tried probably about 10 different items on the menu, everything was fantastic. Not only authentic Thai flavor but also fresh, beautifully presented, fast and reasonably priced. I highly recommend their signature dishes if you are in the mood for something special and a little different. Service was beyond friendly, atmosphere was great and everything is always very clean. “I’m vegetarian and was very happy with food and service here. They clearly told me which items could be made vegan, which were all the rice and noodle dishes as well as the tom yum soup. They added tofu to every dish and it was all delicious. Mild spice was the perfect spice level, we got medium spice with the soup. That was a bit beyond my threshold, but the flavor was still so good. All of my items were labeled vegan on the boxes, which was reassuring. Glad to have authentic Thai food in Poolesville!“

“The restaurant we had planned to go to was closed, and being Vegan, our options are usually very llimited. We had noticed the storefront for Thai Express, so we went there instead. Wow! Exquisite food, exceptional service, beautiful atmosphere, I am at a loss of superlative words because it's really great. I found out about this restaurant last Sunday and it hasn't even been a week and I've already been here 4 times, make it 5 next week because I already know where to eat for my birthday. Matter of fact, I already look forward to dining here with my future wife for our anniversary. Food: Prepared in a timely manner, not too fast that it's suspiciously fastfood like, but not so slow that I'm starving myself to death. The presentation is Michelin Star worthy, it is a must to photograph and appreciate the beauty of the dishes presented. The food is deliciously seasoned, not too salty or not too spicy, the seasoning is carefully and eloquently calculated. The sauces have the perfect texture, flavor, and tanginess. The proteins are of good quality that make for soft, tender, and juicy bites. The veggies are fresh and prepared to perfection with the right amount, not too much that I'm paying for a salad, but enough to provide some freshness and crispiness to the dishes. There is a great variety of dishes so there is something for anyone. Food checks are also provided to assure that the quality of the meals are always consistent. Drinks: The Thai tea is stellar, perfect. A little too sweet for my usual preferences, but combined with their water it creates for a perfect hydration combo to cleanse the pallate and fully savor the delicious Thai cuisine flavors. Their bar contains a great variety of drinks and spirits which I look forward to trying out soon. Service: They have some of the friendliest, most efficient, and knowledgeable servers. Always smiling, refilling water cups, answering all sorts of questions, and paying attention that the guests are taken care of properly. Even if the food wasn't as good as it is, I would definitely come back for consistent and respectful service. Atmosphere: Comfortable seating, warm and relaxed lighting, and an authentic aesthetic of Thailand culture. The interior designer did an amazing job making the inside feel elegant and inviting while incorporating Thai elements without overdoing it too much. TLDR: the best Thai ever.“

“Enjoyed some great dishes from here recently, all quite fresh and delicious. I loved their papaya salad, had the right amount of spice and crunch! The Massaman curry was quite good, nice and rich and the beef quality was pretty good. My favorite dish was the Sukiyaki (stir-fried clear noodles in homemade house special sauce with seafood, egg, cabbages, carrots, and scallions), great balance of sweet and spicy and the noodle were super soft. Would love to try order more from here, great addition to the other very good Thai restaurants already in the area.“

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“
