“Can’t wait to return! My husband tried Shah Halal for the first time, ordered the combo platter and really liked. The chicken had the right amount of spiciness, serving was generous and everything was fresh. I have eaten at several locations and my go-tos are the lamb salad and the lamb platter. So tender! I don’t care for spicy foods and the lamb is so flavorful. The staff was super nice, made suggestions, explained their cooking process and exceeded expectations. I learned the basmati rice is cooked in a healthier way in olive oil, different than other locations, and the manager has had professional training as a chef. We will return often to Ashburn as, 35 miles away, it is the closest locale to our home.“

“I love Five Guys (I've worked at 3 of them) but the Ashburn VA location usually leaves me somewhat disappointed. In this instance I'm pretty sure there was sugar on the fries, not salt. and when I called to suggest checking the salt shaker, the response was disappointing. 😞“

“The food was great. I got a breakfast taco for $3.89 (I think) and it was loaded with fillings (I got egg, sausage, potato, and shredded cheese). The tortilla itself was very good. It felt and tasted homemade.

The service was pretty mid. I started off with a man, and I don't know if he was new or what, but he either absolutely did not know what to do or was pretending to be incompetent to get out of doing work.
First, he had to get help from the woman who was working to even start making the taco. After she said to put the sausage and egg onto the tortilla (kinda wild that he didn't know to do that), instead of putting the sausage on the tortilla, he started breaking it up into the egg container (so maybe don't eat here if you're a strict vegetarian, lol). She noticed what he was doing and verbally corrected him (with very clear instructions) and he just kinda gave up and walked away, so she had to take over. She was clearly frustrated, which is totally understandable given she was already doing other work. I hope she sees this review and knows that she was totally valid to be frustrated, because what do you mean you don't know how to make a taco?!

If this guy is a new employee, he needs someone to train him better. But also, if he gets so confused about scooping prepared food into a prepared tortilla, maybe he needs a role with different responsibilities.“

They provide quick service with fully stocked choices and fresh ingredients. I have never had a less than awesome meal here. It is a chain subway but feels like our neighborhood spot.“
