“I went to the new Ashburn Honey Pig last weekend and it was soooooooo good! The decor is lovely and the staff was great. But the food... We ordered the spicy pork belly and the bulgogi and they were to die for! The sides were also delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“I picked up a pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese for lunch, and was blown away! Definitely one of the best pork BBQ sandwiches I've had in a long time, and service was so fast! The staff were also very friendly and answered all of my questions. I wish this was closer to home so I could come more often!“
“At the Pentagon City Farmer's Market: Ribs and pulled pork were exceptional. Sauces, including the ghost, were surprisingly flavorful (and not too spicy, if you have a good tolerance). If you like simple, expertly-crafted bbq, you'll be very happy. (If you're looking for something fancy, perhaps looks elsewhere). Great family-run business and big shout out to Kyle and family!Pro tip: They start selling out around noon with a long line; suggest going early if you want brisket, ribs, or their fully-loaded hot dog.“
“I recently stumbled upon The Black Hog while searching for a new place to eat on Google Maps, and I'm thrilled that curiosity led me here. This place caught my eye for its promise of freshly smoked meats.Upon arrival, the knowledgeable and passionate staff members made me feel reassured that I was going to be indulging in something great. Their enthusiasm for their offerings was contagious, compelling me to try the 8-count dry rub wings. At each table, they conveniently provide a variety of house-made sauces: KC BBQ, SC Mustard, MD Original, and NC Vinegar. Although all the sauces complemented the wings perfectly, the MD Original stood out with its unique flavor. For my entrée, I opted for the Texas Beef Brisket, accompanied by coleslaw and fries. The coleslaw was crunchy, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the brisket was exceptionally tender—each bite was flawless.Finishing my meal, I was satisfyingly full and already planning my next visit. The Black Hog isn't just about great food; they also host events, with trivia nights on Mondays and rib and wing specials on Tuesdays. If you're in the mood for authentic, delicious barbecue and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend The Black Hog. It’s a spot that has quickly earned a place on my go-to list for great eats. I wish them nothing but success and look forward to many more tasty visits.Parking: Plaza that has a lot of parking spaces.“
“This location made my first time experience OUTSTANDING. I visited Valentine’s Day for Dinner with my family. My waitress and her female manager made our experience so pleasant. We’ve been fortunate to eat out high end steak locations throughout the DMV and let me tell you this place isn’t far behind on their food and meat cuts. But, they are definitely #1 in customer service and overall experience!Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the restaurant ages 2-14.“
“I'm a frequent customer, I went after 2 years and that place change in a good way, a new menu with really good venezuelan food, the steak on sticks is really fantastic and the venezuelan experience at the service of Mr Carlos who is and really friendly and charismatic person like most of the venezuelan people!“
“I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ in my lifetime, and let me tell you… this was the all-around best BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been to. Hands down. The Food: We got the combo, with the ribs and smoked chicken. We arrived after the lunch rush, so the brisket was sold out. Rightfully so- because I heard it was delicious. We also got a chicken wing in the combo. The ribs were so juicy and just fell off the bone. The seasonings were mind-blowing. The chicken was cooked to perfection. *chef’s kiss* You don't need BBQ sauce, but they had a variety- I chose the spicy one, which was delicious.Let me tell you about the sides. THE SIDES! The sides are to die for. The old-fashioned kale is A MUST. The coleslaw has the perfect balance of flavors- the best I’ve had. The cornbread- out of this world. It seems like I’m saying everything is over-the-top delicious, but it is. As I mentioned to the owners, I will dream about this meal tonight! The Atmosphere: This cute spot looks like an old Jiffy Lube turned into an aesthetic BBQ establishment. As we sat down, we noticed that the front of the building had two all-glass garage doors. Genius! They also had outdoor seating, and we were so tempted to sit next to the cherry blossoms, but there was a chance of showers, so we opted to dine in. Their menu board is always up-to-date. When we walked in, we knew they would be out of their brisket because the menu board said, “Brisket available after 4 pm.” They also explained that there was a lunch rush and the brisket sold out.The Service: Nicest human beings ever. I felt like I was talking to my next-door neighbors. Not only were they helpful when we were trying to figure out what to order, but they made everyone feel like family… like you just stepped into your auntie and uncle’s restaurant.Parking: Plenty of parking!I promise you that you won't regret eating here, so go try them out!“
“Wow, Wow, &?!!I think we found our new happy place!!The Pork ribs were HUGE(I know, that’s what she said?) The pig must have been on steroids. They were seasoned perfectly and had the right pull on off the bone. Sitting here writing this my mouth is salivating. They do everything right not a bunch of crappy sauces to cover poor cooked meats, like most places. They let their meat do all the talking. These thick and juicy ribs melt in your mouth and were priced right. The brisket bark was spot on, flavor was amazing but was a tad bit over cooked for my likings even asked for the fatty piece. Mac n cheese was also delicious. Now the beer list…. It Was outstanding!!I wanted to sit here all day drinking the beers and eating ribs. The story on how got here… we attended the Thai festival in Manassas Va on 4/7 stopped for a beer afterwards and the bartender suggested HammerDown. He said it was out of our way but said there is No good BBQ anywhere is Manassas. Hard to believe with over 40,000 people. So we decided to take a detour, way beyond our expectations! Well done ?The owner was kind and poured us up our beers and asked us if we were full. Also what kind of wood do you use?“
“Out freaking standing!!!!!I was in town for business, decided to grab some barbecue, and I was blown away by how awesome this place is. From the moment I walked in the restaurant the staff greeted me with a smile and explained the restaurant, their food, fresh cut fries and everything as I was a first time visitor. I got my food and it was delicious barbecue. Being from Kansas City I have to admit this is really good barbecue. Even the general manager heard I was a first time customer and walked over and thanked me for coming in. This visit couldn’t have gone any better. You must go if you haven’t been . HUGE 5 STARS!!!“
“Stopped by last week after a workout for my first ever visit of any Mission BBQ, and I had a really positive experience ordering for takeaway. The cashier and the manager (I assume she was a manager) were extremely patient while I looked over the menu and decided what to get. They also told me about what dishes from the menu are really popular, what each of their handful of sauces go well with what I ordered or which ones I would like based on my preferences. This interaction was really great for me, especially since I was exhausted from a long day of work and a rigorous workout. I was just really hungry!I ordered the pulled pork sandwich North Carolina Style (but the cole slaw is on the side) combo with a side of fries and a drink. I also asked for the Smoky Mountain sauce. The sandwich was really tender and delicious, and the fries hit the spot! Maybe I was just starving, but I greatly enjoyed my meal. The only thing I was a little upset by was the large bone in my sandwich; with the size of the bone, the cook could've just removed it so I didn't bite into it and have not been in pain for a few minutes. The restaurant wasn't too packed, but there were more than a handful of people in there enjoying their meal. It was fairly clean from what I noticed. it wasn't too loud; the vibe was pretty chill. there are also outdoor tables and seating for when the weather is nice!I had a great experience and will not hesitate to come back again!“
“This was a first time experience for me and my family. It was amazing! The food was wonderful and the wait staff were very friendly. Our server was attentive and very patient, and took time to make sure we understood what was happening (it is a very interactive experience) and what was being served (as well as suggestions on combining food). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! I am looking forward to visiting again, with a larger group of people (and a designated driver)!“
“Gilbers corner cool people laid back spot outside next to a roundabout on us. Route 15 drive by it all the time figured id give it a try with pops and it's amazing, better than the one that is a couple miles away off route 50, the kale is perfect, beans are filled with flavor slaw hits that tang but not too vinegary and the full ribs were tender and pull apart, the pulled pork sandwich they overfilled it with the pork flowing over the bun and was cooked right (as most others who go to other bbq places its not easy to cook that pork to a 10 this hits the ball park, let's just say I'd go back again thanks guys you definitely get what you pay for ????“
“Both the service and cuisine were very delicious. This is a small family run business seems very far to table very homemade style authentic dishes that are meant to make you feel at home I would highly recommend what’s 12 out of 10 is the caramel ice cream even if you’re not a big dessert person you must try it’s made in house. It is AMAZING. I simply would just go back for the dessert and the service.“
