Bourbon Bayou Kitchen

Went to comedy night and the restaurant and staff were completely unprepared. It took 45 mins to get half of our party's 1st round of drinks. 2 of our party had to go to the bar to get thier own drinks after an hour waiting. Food came out like this for a party of 4: 2 entrees 1hr 10 mins after ordering, then 10 mins later 2 appetizers showed up, then 10 mins later 1 more entree....last entree didn't show for another 15 mins and was raw (salmon). Portions were poor. We've been there before and it was great. That said, they have no idea how to handle a comedy night seating where everyone arrives at almost the same time. There is an art and system to that type of event that they need to figure out. Additionally, they did apologize but made no attempt to comp anything. We paid our bill...tipped normal...and left.

Do not come here. Horrible service! First time there last night for a comedy act. Host took too long to acknowledge us and acknowledged others behind us out of order. First Drink order took 30 minutes. Second drink order never came. Food took 40 minutes. Burger was under cooked. Most tables had towait 30 minutes at the end of the program for the bill as waitresses waljed around looking confused about who to charge for what. Asked us what table we were sitting at when we proactively requested our bill after being tired of waiting. We were charged us for a second round of drinks which were never delivered. Complained to the manager about the horrible service.Will not return.

I had a wonderful experience at Bourbon Bayou Kitchen! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent (I had the Cajun pasta and my boyfriend had the burger, I'd recommend both). I also really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. I hope to be back to enjoy some live music!

The space is beautiful and we really enjoyed the live music, but it was pretty dead for a Friday night. Our server was also wonderful. I ordered the Just Peachy cocktail, which I couldn't finish because it was sooo sour! Unfortunate because it was very $$. My Bayou pasta was pretty good, but my mother really didn't like the mahi mahi. There was almost no crab, the fish was dry, and it had way too many tomatoes. Overall a fairly average experience.

I visited Bourbon Bayou Kitchen recently and ordered the Lamb Lollipops as an appetizer, which was good in terms of flavour, but in my opinion, it was nothing special, as I don't think it was priced fairly for what was received. I also ordered the Bayou Pasta as an entrée. When I ordered the pasta, I asked for a substitution for one of the meats, which was easily accepted. The pasta was also okay but nothing too unique in terms of flavours overall. Maybe I should visit again and try a different menu item to have a true sense of the flavours for this type of cuisine this restaurant is specializing in. The restaurant was clean and not too busy so service was prompt. The overall service was great, our server was friendly and checked up on us a few times, and I believe one of the owners or managers even asked how we were doing, which was nice to see. I think this restaurant being rather new, has a lot of great potential, and I may visit again!

Was here this past Friday Night.. Cimone was our server she has a positive attitude but she doesn’t have any clue on how to serve a table. We had to ask for forks and waters. Drinks took 35 mins to get to the table all we had was on old fashion. shrimp and grits decent but they aren’t using andouille sausage as their menu states this sausage had no spice whatsoever. Was definitely disappointed with the quality of service. Won’t be back because of this lack of service

Loved the atmosphere but our server was not personable. She didn’t smile and wasn’t very attentive. I would give her a break but it wasn’t even a busy night.

Waited an hour for our drinks to be served. Did not serve me my food order and when I asked about it after everyone else had already been served, they informed me they were out of what I had asked for. They were unapologetic about the entire experience, refused to comp anything or remove the automatic 20% gratuity. It was actually laughable, and I have told everyone this was the worst dining experience I’ve had.

Took over 5 min of standing in the restaurant for a host to acknowledge us even though they weren’t busy.Drinks are pricey. Shrimp & grits were pretty good, but all of our other dishes were just ok. Fancier than I expected and not super kid friendly.

Legitimately the worst food service I have ever had, empty restaurant and they added 20% gratuity to the bill. Would NEVER

First time eating here. The food was excellent, service was good other than a few hiccups. Nephew ordered the breakfast sandwich but received a breakfast plate, it was quickly corrected. My eggs were not to order but I still licked my plate clean.
