I had a wonderful experience at Bourbon Bayou Kitchen! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent (I had the Cajun pasta and my boyfriend had the burger, I'd recommend both). I also really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. I hope to be back to enjoy some live music!
The space is beautiful and we really enjoyed the live music, but it was pretty dead for a Friday night. Our server was also wonderful. I ordered the Just Peachy cocktail, which I couldn't finish because it was sooo sour! Unfortunate because it was very $$. My Bayou pasta was pretty good, but my mother really didn't like the mahi mahi. There was almost no crab, the fish was dry, and it had way too many tomatoes. Overall a fairly average experience.
I visited Bourbon Bayou Kitchen recently and ordered the Lamb Lollipops as an appetizer, which was good in terms of flavour, but in my opinion, it was nothing special, as I don't think it was priced fairly for what was received. I also ordered the Bayou Pasta as an entrée. When I ordered the pasta, I asked for a substitution for one of the meats, which was easily accepted. The pasta was also okay but nothing too unique in terms of flavours overall. Maybe I should visit...
