My boyfriend and I came for Valentine’s Day as he never had hot pot before & I will say it was a perfect first time experience for him & 2nd time for me, I enjoyed this place100x more than another hot pot I went to in Nebraska. The food was so delicious!! Still day dreaming about it. Can’t wait to go back!

I come here a lot and I it's my favorite hot pot place I've been to so far. Portions are good and sauce choices too!

I'm not a negative review kind of guy, but when it sucks, it sucks. We usually visit once a month, and have not previously encountered a reason to complain. But today broke us.

We walked in for lunch and it was busy, 10+ tables. It took a minute to be seated, no big deal, but we noticed immediately that the man seating us was also the ONLY employee on the floor. We watched as he made drinks, boba, pulled cases of Coke behind the counter, refilled water, and some 10 minutes later, finally made it over to take our order. We were very leery, but another employee suddenly appeared out of the back with the table settings and we were assured it was fine. We order and it takes about 10 more minutes just to get the broth. That starts BOILING before any of the meats, vegetables, or other items are delivered to the table. By this point we haven't eaten anything other than the complimentary peanuts and cucumbers, and we've been there a half-hour. My son's chicken arrives soon thereafter, and we finally receive the hot pot stuff. And that's the last we saw of the service team until he brought the check nearly 30 minutes later.

We tried waving him down for refills, the other employee walked by and asked if we wanted a refill on the broths and then forgot about us. For an all-you-can-eat hot pot place, they sure can save a ton of money by never refilling your items, drinks, or broth. He brought out the check at nearly an hour later and I asked why he hadn't offered me a refill for any of the hot pot items. He apologized and then asked if I would be paying via card. I used the reward dollars we'd saved from previous visits because we don't think we'll be returning. Literally, absolutely zero inclination to serve us more food or even acknowledge that we were still hungry and hadn't seen him or any other staff after the initial table set. I removed the defaulted 22% tip HE selected on the credit card reader he brought to the table and asked for the manager. He said he'd be back, then disappeared to the kitchen immediately and didn't return for the 10 minutes we decided to wait. Another customer asked us if we'd visited before, and we told them we were monthly visitors, but this would likely be our last time.

Another employee we hadn't seen the entire time we'd been there came to bus the table and we asked her if there were problems. She told us she couldn't talk about it, then hurried off to the back without even finishing our table. Most likely they were at least watching her, and would retaliate if she said anything out of line. A group walking in heard me complaining as we walked out, stopped me to ask what happened, then followed us back out the door. Can't recommend them anymore. Not sure what happened in the month since we were last there, but it's apparent it's not being managed actively. Short staffed is one issue, being poorly staffed by employees who don't care is a larger problem. Maybe new ownership and management is needed, if it continues like this, the corner will be vacant before too long. Sad, because this was a good place without having to drive to Falls Church. They could've cornered the market here in Ashburn.

Service is SO slow. You will wait around forever to order the next round of toppings even when there are only 3 tables around. Meat arrives in tiny portions while they load up on everything else. Most hot pot places will have tablets where you can order; this spot has waiters taking orders at their leisure. Would NOT recommend.

This was my first hot pot & it taught me I do not like hot pot. The staff are kind, though.

I visited Hot Pot Legend based on a few recommendations for the first time recently. I opted for the All-You-Can-Eat menu option to be able to try the different types of proteins and veggies since it was my first time visiting. I only enjoyed a few of the items offered but all in all wouldn't necessarily come back as the atmosphere seemed cramped; the table was a spill hazard waiting to happen, and the restaurant, serving plates, and washrooms were very dirty and near the washroom smelled really bad, despite the restaurant having air fresheners stuck everywhere, which I now understand why. It was interesting to try, but I wouldn't opt to go back again. Thanks

ot Pot Legend – One Loudoun, Ashburn, VA

BCI: 7.5 / 10 - Moderately Strong. In all likelihood, you should enjoy your experience here.

Ambiance Index : 7.7 / 10 - Comfortably Engaging Ambiance.

If you’re craving a lively, social meal where the experience matters as much as the food, Hot Pot Legend is worth a visit. The menu offers a wide range of fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables - everything from thinly sliced ribeye and lamb to enoki mushrooms and bok choy. Broths lean toward the lighter side compared to DC’s more intensely flavored hot pot houses, but ingredients arrive fresh and well-prepped.

Service is consistently friendly and efficient, staff circulate frequently to refill broths and clear plates without hovering. The dining room is bright, clean, and modern with good spacing between tables and plenty of energy. Expect a casual, family-friendly atmosphere rather than a quiet, date-night vibe.

Price-wise, the all-you-can-eat model runs about $30–$50 per person, which feels fair if you’re the type to sample generously. For lighter eaters (like me), the value is less compelling, but the overall experience makes up for it.

Bottom line: A clean, well-run, and enjoyable hot pot experience with reliable freshness, pleasant staff, and solid execution. Not the boldest broths in the region, but definitely one of the most comfortable and consistent AYCE options in Northern Virginia.

Best for: groups, casual nights out, and first-time hot pot diners

Less ideal for: quiet dining or those seeking deep, spicy Sichuan flavor

The food was tasty and our server was excellent! Lots of different options for meat and vegetables. We got a duo pot which was a great feature if you can’t decide on just one broth. The sauce bar was a bit smaller than I’m used to but it had the essentials and the chefs sauce was great. Price was good at $35 a person. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the night we went the bathroom smelled so foul it was unusable. I’m sure it’s not a reoccurring thing and understandably the bathroom isn’t going to be the best smelling place at the end of the night. But as first time customers it did affect our overall impression of the place.

We had the most wonderful time here today. Everything is delicious, the staff is attentive, they have great wine, and the owner came by every table. Worth spending a couple of hours enjoying this fine experience.

I have been coming here for the longest time, best broth ever, I'm here at least 2-3 times each month because it is the best after a crazy night of drinking, I can never get enough of it, I dream of being buried with their amazing beef broth marinate with siracha and green onions. shoutout to my favorite people the host Grace, the 2 asian girls that are my servers most of the time, big shoutout to my asian general manager who is always vibing at the bar, and the lady who brings over our food. Haven't seen the madame since the first day me and my lady came in but shoutout to her too, any haters who don't like this hotpot your opinion is trash.
