I have visited Jimmy Johns locations from Boston to Atlanta and all in between. 100% prefer JJs over Jersey Mikes, and I grew up in Jersey! This JJ on Ashburn Village Blvd is by FAR the worst when it comes to customer service. I have been working in the Ashburn area since Dec.2021 and have visited this location easily two dozen times, and each time, the customer service is horrid. Every employee at this location is 100% miserable, and it shows. It's like you are inconveniencing them in their day by stopping in. Today, I walked in at 11 AM, when they were supposed to open, to find a woman behind the counter eating, and said, "Yeah, we are not opening until 11:30 AM today. No, I'm sorry for the inconvenience nothing. I get it; working in the food industry today is horrid in itself, but, if you are that miserable, find another profession. Inspire Brands, who owns JJs, should be ashamed!

Terrible Customer service, slow service, employees are rude and indifferent. This one store is the single worst experience I've ever had with JJ's. I've never experienced any other locations like this in any other city. It's surprising because this is such a great area with many service offerings very focused on the customer experience, this one lowers the bar for the JJs name as a whole.

Customer service was terrible. The cashier was clearly not happy to be at work today. Pretty sure they gave me a sandwich on yesterday’s bread. Not only was the bread stale but they appeared to cut two pieces of bread and use it as a top and bottom piece. Guess I should have ordered in store and watched the sandwich be made.

If you're going to promote a new sandwich, put everything on it, see anything missing? Also, if the online order says to cut it, then cut it. omg!! Seeing all the other reviews tells me you need new management.

Same situation as a lot of other reviews. Their employees are downright rude. I can understand bad days, but when you cop an attitude with someone because they asked a question when you didnt interact with them at all previously, that’s just bad service.I know it’s a minimum wage job but the expectation isn’t “exceptional” service, at least give some common courtesy.

The Ashburn location never lets us down! The food is always fresh, the service is always excellent. But what prompts my long overdue review is something extra special, something that brought true delight to my family. Every time we order somewhere (anywhere) and we have the option to choose names, we use a theme - usually Marvel or DC themed - and this particular day in August of 2020 (that timeframe should imply plenty) we used Arrow characters for our sandwiches. When they were delivered - whoever packaged them, renamed the Arrow characters according to the nicknames each character had. i.e. Oliver Queen and Arrow - so we still knew which sandwich belonged to who - it was so exciting for my kids (me, too) to find that the person who packaged our sandwiches responded that way. I wish I had authored this review sooner because whoever that person is, deserves a bonus (or better, a raise).

Have ordered from here many times over the years, in part because I used to work at Jimmy John's in college and always enjoyed the food. Quality has been inconsistent by my standards, but passable. However, the last several times I have ordered delivery from this location it's taken close to two hours for the food to arrive. I live just over a mile from the store, so distance is not the cause. Also, having worked at Jimmy John's, I can verify that their business model is built around speed. Everything is pre-portioned. For an experienced employee, the time it takes to make a sandwich is measured in seconds, not minutes. Lunch today arrived 1 hour and 38 minutes after ordering. The other day, I was able to work out a bit, do some work, run some errands, grab lunch from the grocery store, and come home and eat that lunch -- all in the time it took for our food to arrive.Mitch Hedberg joked about how with baked potatoes, you have to anticipate well in advance that you'll be hungry because they take so long to make. And yet, I can literally bake a potato in the time it takes this Jimmy John's to bring me my food. That, simply put, is nowhere close to "Freaky Fast!" Jimmy John's is meant to be an impulse buy. It isn't good enough to reside in the delayed-gratification tier of foods. I genuinely have no idea what's taking so long, to the point that I'm driven to write an online review, something I typically avoid. My guess is that the economics don't work for this franchisee at this location, such that they can't or won't staff enough drivers to handle the delivery load. On top of this, the bread is frequently stale. This suggests it's either over-baked or kept too long, or possibly a combination. The latter would indicate cost-cutting, so I would encourage any diners to complain if they find the bread is too hard or crusty. When I worked at Jimmy John's, our manager was a stickler about no longer serving bread after four hours, because the quality would drop-off sharply after that. Four-hour-old bread could only be sold as day-old bread. At this point, if any others are having similar experiences, it has to be brand-damaging. I remember Jimmy John's corporate having a strict auditing process for their locations, so I'm a bit perplexed by what seem to be uneven standards.

Horrible experience! My family and I stopped in for lunch and apparently it was a horrible day for Kennedy. He seemed so disgusted as soon as we walked in as if we were bothering him. He was rushing us , had his earbuds in etc. I asked for a ham and cheese only for my kid and asked if the middle part could be removed so that it wasn't so doughy. He then gave me a disgusted look. Went on to order my food and then my husband ordered a sandwich and asked for the same thing regarding the middle being removed , Kennedy says "there's a button for that in a rude way." We get our food and my sons sub had lettuce , tomato and Mayo when I asked for only ham and cheese. Instead of asking him to remake it , we simply said can we get the bread and we can just toss the cheese and ham in. He gives it to us with a nasty look on his face and says "next time if you want only ham and cheese say that." Comical because I specified it .. but he was so annoyed from the get go that he didn't care to listen on top of having earbuds in his ear. I was ready to walk out in the middle of ordering just by the negative energy and disgusted look he was giving us. A simple apology would have been nice ...we made it clear how we felt about his attitude and he had a poker face .... I get it. We all have bad days and things going on. But no reason to treat your paying customers that way.We were told he was the manager of this location. Not a good look for that location.

No ice. Jimmy John's typically has the best pellet ice but this one was out.

Have ordered delivery at this location multiple times, and it consistently takes well over an hour to receive my order despite them advertising "freaky fast" delivery...

I placed an order for catering for my company and ordered the catering box with 18 sandwiches to be delivered the following day for a meeting. The delivery was 45 minutes late and and the sandwiches are tiny! When I called to ask where my delivery is, they had no real answer, it seems like their online ordering process doesn’t align with their actual delivery - so much for freaky fast. The sandwiches were about two inches long, about half the size of what I was expecting compared to sandwich catering orders I’ve made with other companies.

So this Jimmy John’s is local in Ashburn but after today on Saturday ( my 4th visit ) I will not return to this location. Not because the food is horrible, or prepared wrong. The quality is actually great just as every other JJ’s. However, I’m not sure what seems to be this employees issue. He is extremely rude. Every single time I walk in there. Short. No eye contact. Rude. Rude to other customers inside. No mannerism whatsoever. Now, I understand every one has bad day. Bad weeks. However, as I said this was my 4th time in the last 2-3 months it’s absolutely absurd the way he treats customers. I won’t be returning to this location ever again.

If you want a turkey sub don't come here. Been here 3 times in the past few weeks and they're always out of turkey, the most basic of meats that is the staple of the majority of their sandwiches. Obviously this place is mismanaged and run with terrible leadership. What a terrible representation of a franchise.

Dear Jimmy John's I haven't eaten at one of your establishments for close to 5 years. I was so excited to have a bootlegger. However I was so disappointed in the quality and freshness of the ingredients in the sandwich. Both the turkey and the roast beef were completely dry and the roast beef was overcooked. I'm not sure what's happened over the last couple years but to pay $14 for a sandwich in the drink and for the ingredients not to be fresh is such a disappointment. Come on Jimmy John's step up your game!
