Some labels from ice cream was on the floor, when asked about flavors I could hardly understand the answer and my guess is she didn't understand the question. Couldn't find pricing clearly shown and when I first walked in they only were taking cash. So knowing the price would have helped. Ice cream was ice cream, so kids were still happy.
If you want your ice cream served by the ghost of christmas past, you’ve found the right place. The lady was honestly just really creepy. The ice cream wasn’t bad but the place was empty and didn’t look the cleanest. Lots of the ice cream was freezer burnt.
The Ashburn location doesn't honor their hours of operation. We tried 4 different times during normal business hours and the doors were locked. Will never go back.
Closed at 7. The worker saw us outside while the lights said open. The door was locked. She didn't even acknowledge we were there or that she was sorry she closed early. Disappointed. Update your hours so we don't waste another trip
Like others, I’m all about supporting a local business but something has changed for the worse with this establishment. The lady helping us was rude and not very transparent with her prices. My daughter asked for gummy bears as a topping for her ice cream and she got one gummy bear. We tried to use a Dulles Little League coupon for the Honey Bee Ashburn location and she would not honor it. The lady then mentioned they are no longer called Honey Bee even though their sign is still up. It’s a shame because I know it didn’t start this way and it’s definitely gone downhill.
Walked in and it instantly smelled like someone burned a whole pack of cigarettes inside. After noticing my wife, 6 kids and I were still willing to give it a shot. We stood waiting for 4-5 minutes while the only employee was on their personal cell phone seeming to have zero interest in helping serve me and my 8 person family who were clearly about to spend $50+. Terrible service, disgusting conditions. When it was still JRs it would have NEVER gone down like this.
Do you like being treated like garbage? Well look no further and come here.Im all for supporting small business but businesses shouldnt treat customers like garbage. So we get here. There's an employee sitting on a table watching TV. Place is empty. We're standing there waiting for her. She saw us. Looked at her phone and sent a text message. Got up very slowly. Changed the channels on the TV until she found something she liked. Then slowly prepares to come to the counter without saying Hi or anything. Then gets to the counter. We tell her we would like one cup of cookie dough. She yells loudly "No English!". I said ok no worries I understand language barriers can exist. So I point at the cookie dough, say cookie dough and take a cup and put my finger up indicating one. She then shakes her head like she has a seizure and keeps yelling No English! We acted professionally and nice thinking there was a misunderstanding. We somehow were able to order.Honestly don't even bother going here. Owners don't seem to care about their business anyways. Support another small businesses that actually WANTS your business.
Avoid! Mediocre ice cream at whatever price the employee feels like charging (more than prices stated online and menu board in store was not functioning). Items ordered missing toppings. Go somewhere/anywhere else for ice cream.
We went this past weekend and we're only ones in the place and it took 5 mins for the woman to come out and granted we were choosing and looking at the flavors she wasn't friendly at all or talked to us when a family not 4 bought ice cream. I wanted one flavor but it looked freezer burnt for the hazelnut chocolate. The place had stuff all out and didn't looked that clean either. My kids and wife liked their ice cream though. Mine was okay. We felt we should of driven a few mins more for Brewster's ice cream instead where the ice cream is fresh and they are friendly. No wonder no one was in there with customer service like this. If we're your only customers then talk to us and act like you want to work there. Ashburn location for Saturday
Review is for leesburg location. It used to be called Hersheys Ice Cream. I used to like this place under the previous ownership. Things have sure changed for the worse under the new ownership. The shop did not seem clean to me. The person serving the ice cream was not wearing a mask. There were fruit flies near the ice cream. The ice cream itself was freezer burned. There were limited flavors and the store looked unfinished. I suggest they close the shop for a bit and improve the cleanliness, remove the freezer burned ice cream and train employees on proper Covid procedures. I wont be going back. Wish the previous owners could buy the business back.

Could not stay to order ice cream today. The odor of cigarettes was too pervasive for me. Used to like this place, but not returning.
Was surprised no one was wearing masks. Employees were leaning over ice cream talking (new employee being trained) and no masks or gloves in sight. Ice cream tasted like it was freezer burned and old and was very expensive for the small scoops we got.
Love this place. They make really good, fresh waffle bowls. The ice cream is Hershey's — huge selection. Great milkshakes as well.
Disgustingly sweet and over priced. Facility could use a good cleaning as well.
Auntie promised her niece and nephew “dessert for lunch” and then promptly misread Honeybee’s hours. Upon arrival (30 min prior to scheduled opening) we found that not only were they closed, but were having an unfortunate plumbing issue. Despite these things, they kindly offered to serve us (outside), saving the day for me! The ice cream was delicious and the kids (and I) can’t wait to go back, see the shop, and try more flavors!Thank you again for being so kind and saving the day!
