I'm in town for work for a few days, sat at the bar for about 20 minutes and there were maybe 8 people around and two bartenders. Never greeted me, didn't pass me a menu, and the bartender only catered to what seemed to be his friend whom he talked to instead of taking care of his clients. I overheard one man request to cancel his order due to it taking forever for him to receive it, I assume also due to lack of attention with the service. I'd hate to see how the service is on a packed night if a slow one goes like this.

We decided to try out Matchbox for the first time this past weekend. It wasn't busy at all, they had us seated upstairs. They don't have a restroom upstairs so you have to walk downstairs to utilize the facilities if needed. Our waiter immediately informed us that he was new.. It was a rough start. The Sprite was awful, they had to take care of the machine (I guess the Sprite flavor was completely out). Getting our order in took a little longer than I would've preferred. Food was brought to us pretty quickly after it was ordered, everything was cooked and prepared wonderfully. We all enjoyed all the dishes! Fries and onion straws were amazing! Waffles were bomb! Mini burgers were fantastic The chicken/avocado was average I'd say. The kale on the sandwich was extremely bitter and made the sandwich taste awful, so I removed the kale and the rest was good :) Overall, we'd recommend Matchbox! Considering it was one of our waiters firsts shifts, he did a terrific job and fixed the sprite issue quickly. Of course, that wasn't a big deal, it can happen. The food was extremely pricey though, $90 for 3 people to eat the food pictured. Also! Make sure you compare your bill to the menu prices, they were over charging the chicken and waffles by $5. They fixed this once we pointed it out.

Swipe left!!!!Matchbox was NOT a match for me! The drinks took forever to come out, and the waiter had forgotten what I had ordered. I asked for a gluten FREE pizza, and they had sent me out a regular pizza. At this point, I had been waiting for a long time to get my food, so I had to wait even longer! The spoon for my soup was dirty with what appears to be a water stain. I had asked for another spoon, which was even dirtier than the first. The food was overpriced and SO BLAND! I don't think I could ever come here again. Spare your tastebuds, and don't break the bank by avoiding this place.

All I can say is we showed up for Sunday brunch and first thing our waitress told us when I ordered coffee was:”Sorry but we don’t have regular coffee!” Wait, what!?? And then we find out that they were out of coffee for 2 days! Well, then have someone go to the grocery store and get coffee!!! You are a restaurant serving brunch for crying out loud!Anyways, went across the street to Starbucks and got our coffee .

Came in for happy hour and had an awesome experience. Bartenders were friendly and attentive--gave us awesome suggestions. I ordered the Guava Martini (tequila, guava, triple sec, sour), very refreshing cocktail made just right. For food we got the Matchbox Smashburger (angus beef, grilled onions, American cheese, pickles, special sauce), Sticky Pork Ribs (18-hr pork ribs, mango slaw, teriyaki glaze), and Seared Tuna Salad (Mixed Green a, Cucumber, Radish, Avocado, Orange, Peanuts, Soy Citrus Honey Dressing). The Burger was juicy and flavorful, Stick Pork Ribs were fall of the bone with the right amount of tang and sweetness, Salad I was not overly impressed--it was good but not something I'd go out of my way for. For dessert the bartender recommended us get the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding (with caramel and bananas) When it came out I was so afraid of it being overly sweet as it was sitting in a load of caramel sauce, but nope it really complimented the bread pudding and was not overly sweet. I loved the touch of banana, as it really had the element of a banana foster desert.

I recently dined at Matchbox, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow, with waitstaff seeming more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. When my grilled chicken sandwich finally arrived, it was disappointingly rubbery and lacked any flavor. The response from the waitress when advised, "well, it has been a very busy evening. I will tell my manager." After paying for the rubbery dish, I left hungry and frustrated. The overall experience left much to be desired, and I won't be returning anytime soon.

What a mess this place has become. No silverware, apps come, food nearly 2 hours later. We had to return drinks - server even tasted and agreed. We were there a total of 4 hour. We had no water, then refills were non existent. Food however, was actually pretty good. Something has changed there.
