Meadows Original Frozen Custard - One Loudoun

The ice cream is amazing, but the kids working there are awful. They spend more time screwing around in the back than actually working. They let their friends go in the back and make ice cream while customers are there. So strange

It was okay, a bit pricey but otherwise fairly good.

Loved the pace and the ice cream. We were here past lunch for a quick bite and loved the pace. The staff is super cool and helpful, place is well kept and the location is amazing. Loved every aspect of the experience.

Wow, I asked for like a small scoop of 4 flavors, she said a small was pretty big, she wasn’t kidding. The slates caramel, vanilla, cookie dough, and vanilla literally melted all over my face and hands. I was a creamy gooey mess of milky joy. Hand made and perfectly delicious. There was no shame in walking around downtown Loudon half covered in their custard. It was a joy to lick off every finger.

I came in on Wednesday evening around 6, and I had lovely customer service! I’m not sure what the names of the two young adults were, but again, the customer service was the best I've had at an ice cream shop in One Loudoun.

As for the flavor, the custard was amazing. I got vanilla and Oreo cookies, and it was delicious—the ingredients tasted real! The custard was neither airy nor overly sweetened; it was just the perfect pick-me-up that evening for both my husband and me. My husband got the chocolate custard on a waffle cone, and it did not disappoint (and he is very picky about his ice cream!).

Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we had to bring the rest home to store. Let me tell you, I just ate the small portion I had left, and the texture is still amazing. The ice cream retained its quality.

Listen, if you are in One Loudoun and deciding between Meadows or The Yard Milkshake, try Meadows! The Yard offers artificial flavors and horrible customer service. Walk a bit down, and you’ll get natural flavors with kind customer service!

Way.too.SWEET. this is SUPPOSED to be frozen yogurt. More sugar than a coke. Can t eat it. Never again.

Got the Brownie Hot Fudge Sundae here after recommendation from someone, it was pretty good. A guilty delight for sure. Loaded with sugar and artificial sweeteners most likely, but once in a while that’s good. Taste was pretty good, and was disappointed when it was over.

I love this place. I live in the neighborhood and the ice cream is delicious and consistent. The employees are very nice and it’s one of my fav spots to grab my ice cream. Grab some ice cream here and sit in the plaza to people watch.

Nice cool spot in one Loudoun. A bit on the pricey side but yeah that's just everything nowadays. The ice cream is good

Ice cream was pretty good, but it was mainly the atmosphere, these two young men Mateo and Eli greeted me very nicely with smiles on their face. They where very kind towards me I would recommend it and I’ll definitely be coming back

Employees don't speak proper english and if they do, they are complete stoners. food is also extremely gross and has an off smell.

5stars is difficult to attain, it would've had to have exceptional service & sparkling shine to every surface.

Since i have high standards & we don't live in a perfect world, 3stars is the highest award considering:

I ordered a SMALL Artic Swirl with chocolate ice cream & Snickers topping.
My partner ordered an Apple Dumpling Sundae.

- Food
The choco ice cream could've had more chocolate in it to make it more fudge-y tasting.

The Snickers ice cream was good as was the apple dumpling.

Their menu is slightly confusing: what they offer on-hand (have remaining) & their specials isn't very clear.

- Service
It is especially not clear when a woman who isn't a native English-speaking person tries to relay the menu offerings. Bless her heart, she tried, but we still couldn't understand her - try as we might! It is, however, a good thing they had a menu on the side of the wall to see things more clearly.

It was also loud in there (machines & no noise abatement) & she spoke softly WITH her head turned away to relay the menu. And, as I said, she's not English-speaking so it was thrice as difficult!

Service was good but it made the experience more difficult so it made entire experience just adequate.

- Cleanliness
The table at the window had debris & ice cream residue on it. Not usually such an issue but there's literally 3 tables to sit at to eat the bowl of ice cream properly (without a mess or, worse, spillage / lost ice cream) so it makes it difficult to choose a clean table. Since nobody else was in there at that time, it was OK, but since they weren't busy, why not ensure cleanliness for customers!? Imagine the people that left the mess, imagine the employees that left the mess. Imagine how dirty people can be (& was -thry didnt even try to clean it up) & how that can compromise your safety from a dirty table left behind by others.

- Atmosphere
Is severely lacking. We did enjoy seeing a picture of their humble beginnings from the photo on the wall, but it didn't have enough 'je ne sais quoi' to exude & elicit, "this is a fun place"!

We would've sat outside had it not been cold & rainy. To nearly be forced outside is not the point of what is defined as a 'good quality Restaurant'.

- Cost
It was very expensive. And for the amount we paid to have a dirty table, a boring atmosphere, & confounding service, the cost definitely did not equate.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic facility for a short visit. But usually you go somewhere for dessert to enjoy the whole experience.

The custard is good but there is no vibe or atmosphere. It’s kind of awkward when you walk in. No one has a personality there. Very strange.
