It would be nice if you were open when advertised. Arrived at 3:30 on 11/6/22 and doors were locked.Edit: If you were “open” you should probably unlock your doors. This place has been in shambles since it changed from World of Beer.I went back two weeks later to give it another try. Probably would have been a better experience if the doors were locked again. Bartender ended up arguing with one of your customers - might have been owner, who knows. Not a great business model to argue with your patrons. Beers weren’t great, most items were out of stock. Yes yes, supply chain and whatnot. Assuming other controllable factors were at play here.
Wedding rehearsal. Staff was just plain rude! Bald guy with a auburn beard srcreamd at us like we worked there.. HOT FOOD BEHIND YOU, OUT OF THE WAY! Owner manager told us to stay in a corner area like we were prisoners. No AC. Should of
The staff was so rude. We came in on a Saturday night at 6 pm and there were 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Waited was generally annoyed with us ordering, asking for water, taking a minute to pick a kids order. Dirty dishes were never cleared after finished eating and while finishing drinks / ordering desert. Just generally unfriendly all around to a family eating dinner. Spent almost $300 after tip and treated like we were a bother.
We walked in on a Sunday around lunch and was able to get a table immediately. I think the best food dishes that we had was the Shrimp and Sausage Creole and the cream of crab soup. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. We also had the crab cake dish and the mussels.
03/10 evening: security personnel during weekend nights are so rude. the night started off well and when last call occurred, at 1:45am, a red head security guard decided to get smart with me by asking if I knew anyone here as to why I am still sitting down. I was having a nice conversation with my husband and he interrupted. there was no need for any of his sarcastic comments as I was not belligerent at all. I kindly asked doesn't the bar close at 2? and he said no it closes now. I can understand if I had given him an attitude of any sort but that was not the case. & thank you sir for ending my night so horribly. as a business owner, I do not allow my staff to disrespect clients/customers. do a better job at who you hire to represent your business. I was highly upset with how my night ended tonight.
I really loved the food at Sullivans Cove. The beer selections are top tier. The atmosphere is good, but the floor was weirdly sticky, my shoes made a strange sound as I walked.I think they might have been understaffed and that might be why we we're not getting attended to as well as other places, but I will say as crowded as it was the 4 staff members I could see hustled like crazy. There are plenty of booze choices and the dishes are amazing. We had a dip trio that was so good! I recommend it. I got the shrimp and sausage gumbo and it was spicy and delicious. My gf got a shrimp burger, which I was skeptical about but it was awesome! If you're nearby try Sullivans Cove, it's great!
Parking: Parking garage is right behind the restaurant and is free!
This is a bar & grill with 50+ beer taps. We were there at 3:00 on a Friday, so it was quiet. For us the timing was perfect. Service & food was excellent. We had cream of crab soup, salmon BLT and crab cake dinner. All were delicious, including the grilled corn, potato & tomato side with the crab cakes. Will go there again when we're in the area.
I went to the Sullivan’s cove in Ashburn this past Sunday. I had read the reviews and was excited to try the bowl of Cream of Crab soup. It definitely had great flavor and creamy , but I was very disappointed with the serving size. All the advertised photos were of a bowl of soup with crab meat showing, what I got was a very small cup of soup with no visible crab meat. Big letdown!
This establishment was awesome. We wanted to have a good dinner before a movie and we found this restaurant online. When we arrived it was seat yourself and we were served quickly. I had the cream of bean soup and it was 10000 stars! This soup was perfect because it was brisk out. My husband had the calamari (crispy and well seasoned) and shrimp and grits (he cleaned his plate). I had the Chesapeake Chicken and no kidding I did the “happy to have this food” dance with every bite. We had a great time. We will be back.
I didn't expect to get good food from sport bar restaurant but it turned out really good. My sons love the food and reasonable price. I like draft beer the waiter recommended.

I have 2 different smash burgers, one bison, 1 beef and they were both juicy and yummy. Fries were spot on. The crab bisque was great and that Bavarian pretzel is the best one I have had in all of NOVA. So buttery and texturewise, perfect. I even dipped the pretzel into the soup. #yumyum
The food is okay but the service is lacking. A bartender and a server both came to my table and neither one introduced themselves or told us their name. Asked the bartender about the a game that was on and he told me they didn't have ESPN even though other sports were on the Tvs. That will be my first and last time dining at Sullivan's Cove. I can go to Buffalo wing factory get the same beer selection and much better service for a more reasonable price.
The spot is a chill and cool atmosphere with good vibes and great music. Very diverse crowd and awesome security. Can't wait to try their food. Check them out Fridays and Saturdays. I promise you won't regret it.
Came here on a weekend and it was jumping. there was a line but the door guy did a good job of keeping it controlled and getting folks in. When I got closer I got to watch him in action as some upset drunk woman were being rude and mean to him for not letting them in. He was very collected with the situation while they were calling him a racist and all sorts of names. I apologized to him when I got to him but he just smiled adjusted his hat and started making jokes. The GM held the door open for my friends and I when he came to check on the security guard. All of the staff we encountered were professional and fun. We will be coming back to try the food next week. I wish I could give the staff five stars as well.
I was completely surprised at how great the food and service were at Sullivan’s Cove. Not at all a typical restaurant with boring bar food. We went with the kids early in the evening on a Friday and it was GREAT. Everyone enjoyed themselves! We definitely will be coming here again.
