I used to love this place but I showed up yesterday for a takeout. I noticed that the owner and the staff had changed. The place was untidy and the food turned out to be atrocious - nothing like what I was used to. Demise of a nice, comfort food joint. Not going there again.

I recently visited Tawa Fry Restaurant for a takeout order and had an experience that left me quite disappointed. I ordered two Vada Pav chiken bhuna and Romali Roti. Unfortunately, the bread for the Vada Pav was stale and lacked freshness. The Romali Roti, on the other hand, was undercooked and not up to standard.

While waiting for my order, I observed several hygiene issues. A staff member arrived at the restaurant, carrying bags and immediately started working without washing their hands. They handled orders and packaging in this manner, which is concerning for food safety.

Additionally, there was an issue with the rice warmer. It appeared that leftover rice from the previous night had not been removed in the morning. A staff member discarded the old rice but did not clean the warmer before adding fresh rice. This is not only unhygienic but also reflects poorly on their food preparation practices.

Overall, my experience was disappointing. The restaurant needs to take immediate steps to improve food quality and adhere to proper hygiene standards to ensure a better experience for their customers.

Oh man, probably the top Indian Cuisine in the DMV. The Butter Chicken and Cheese Naan are a must try. The only downside is that it takes a while to have you order served. Everything is cooked to order. Moderate price and good for the whole family. I strongly recommend it. 👍

Tava Fry now under a new management has a few new additions such as Biryanis and breakfast buffet. We tried the breakfast and they have a good spread showcasing a variety of authentic Indian dishes that cater to diverse tastes. The quality and flavor of the food are good making it a satisfying dining experience. Notably, the **Madras coffee** stands out as the highlight—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, it's a must-try for coffee lovers.
