We had a great dinner and enjoyed the live music! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice child free date night!

Food was just alright. We asked for bread and were served burnt toasted sourdough bread for $5. Probably will not return, there are better restaurants in the area. Although the service was very good.

Food was excellent. Maybe a little expensive for the area. It is not a place to go for a quiet conversation. It was very loud. Couldn't even hear the waitress. However the service was excellent.

Here is why I it went from 3 stars to 5 stars experience. I believe in working things out before posting feedback online . So after a mediocre experience I chose to escalate it to the manager on duty (Karen) and I can say that she went above and beyond to make sure things were corrected and we’ve been taken care of for anything negative I went through. Truly great manager who’s customer centric and she’s looked at long term wins rather than short term. Thanks again Carrie.

Host downstairs wouldn’t seat us. Told us there was a two hour wait. This happened on three different occasions at different times. Host (male) was clearly gate keeping and thought he was a security guard lol.

Food is as awesome as always. The 4th of July special chili dog with potato salad was yummy. We had the artichoke large plate again and it was wonderful again. The wings were great again as well and we tried the French dip which was one of the best we've ever had. The potato salad especially. The service was great! Grace was wonderful - helpful, friendly, awesome. Can't wait to come back and try more items. There was a party going on so the music was pumping loud every time the back room opened. Awesome place!

My experience at the lost Fox was great! It started when the guy at the door checking id’s was very personable and friendly, I believe his name was John, then when I went up to the bar area I sat down and was quickly greeted by two great bartenders named Katelyn and Jill. The drinks they made me were great and the service was even better. If you are looking for a nice classy bar and restaurant with great service and personable bartenders I would highly recommend the lost Fox you will really enjoy your time there.

About time I wrote a review about this place….

From the moment I first stepped in to every single experience I’ve had here… the staff has been so welcoming and attentive without being so overbearing. The ambiance in this place.. I mean wow.. it just screams cozy and romantic, followed with soft lighting and beautiful decor. Great spot for a date night!

Pricing is very fair for the quality and portion sizes. They have a great tapas-style menu welcoming small dishes and still offer a small entree selection for those with a bigger appetite. Both selections are creative and delicious- each dish is beautifully plated and full of bold, balanced flavors.

What really set the experience apart is the service. Whether it’s the bartenders or the servers, they have always been so attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about their food and drinks.

Let’s talk about the managers at Lost Fox. The management here deserves the same recognition the restaurant itself gets. From their general manager Alex, to their FOH manager Karen to even their marketing director Chloe. They have always been so great and welcoming. They have elevated the entire experience at lost fox- they don’t just manage the floor—they orchestrate it like a conductor with a symphony of small plates, wine glasses, and happy guests. You can tell they care—not just about the restaurant, but about the people. That’s rare. And it’s the reason why we continue coming back again and again.

Bookmark this place. You’re going to want to come back as well.

My wife and I have been to the Lost Fox twice: Once for Brunch and once for Dinner; both times for special occasions. In our view The Lost Fox Hideaway is an outstanding restaurant, the best we've been to in Northern VA in many years. On these occasions we've sampled the following dishes: I'm Smashed Toast; Seared Tuna; Bourbon Glazed Pork Belly; Sweet Potato Flan; a champagne split; Seared Duck Breast; Grilled Lamb Chops cooked in mint with Hand - Cut Fries, Peach Creme Brulee, Guinness Stout, and coffee on both occasions. Every dish and sauce was cooked and presented superbly, and the desserts were outstanding, especially, the sweet potato flan. Both the regular coffee and the decaf were excellent on our first brunch visit. On our second dinner visit, the decaf was still excellent, but the regular coffee, though pleasant, wasn't as full-bodied as on our first visit. We inquired about that, and our server said that while he wasn't present during our earlier visit he had heard that the restaurant had changed its brewing process between our first and second visit, and perhaps that accounted for the difference. If so, we recommend that the restaurant return to its earlier brewing process. Moving to Lost Fox Service, on both occasions we found the service unusually attentive and responsive and rate it as outstanding. The pricing at The Lost Fox is rated high in most reviews. But we believe that given the quality of the food, the cooking and the service, the prices are fair and the restaurant provides great value for the money. Summing up: right now The Lost Fox is our favorite restaurant in Northern Virginia, and we intend to return there for all our special occasions. We wholeheartedly recommend it to others looking for an exceptional dining experience.

we came in for brunch and the atmosphere, food, and staff were brilliant! you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the burgers are definitely a must. we even overheard another diner saying they would bathe in the pork belly if they could so maybe another must!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Lost Fox last weekend was too good not to share.

We stumbled upon this place after a friend’s birthday dinner nearby fell through last minute. We were tired, hungry, and honestly just hoping for decent food. What we got was far beyond anything we expected.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — dim lighting, tasteful decor, and the perfect blend of cozy and upscale. The live music set the tone: chill acoustic vibes that made it feel like a night out without being overbearing. Just enough to enjoy without shouting over your table.

The food? Absolutely unreal. We started with the Bourbon glazed pork belly and the seared tuna— both beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For mains, I had the pesto gnocchi (rich, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness) and my partner had the peppercorn crusted filet mignon — she’s still talking about it days later. Cocktails were good and strong, just how we like them.

One thing I really appreciated was how safe we felt. The security staff was professional, present, and discreet — you can tell this place prioritizes both a good time and peace of mind.

Shoutout to Karen, the manager, who checked in on our table personally. You don’t see that kind of care often these days. She made sure we felt welcome and even gave us a couple of great local recommendations for after-dinner drinks. You can tell she runs the place with passion and pride.

Lost Fox has quickly become one of our favorite new spots, and we’re already planning to bring friends back next weekend. Highly recommend!

I went to lost fox with some friends for food and drinks and had a great time. The manager Karen came by and checked on us as well and gave some good recommendations. Awesome place and great staff.

I really have had great experiences at lost fox night life and enjoyed their food, however recently when me and my girls go out it has become a reoccurring issue that 2 of the “bouncers” John and Nicholas would refuse us entry, this is due to one of my friends having a past “relationship” with one of the guys, Nicholas, and honestly this is very petty and unprofessional on their part, its over they just need to move on.

Drinks were awesome, food was pretty good. I did not like the hyped up gnocchi but beet salad was food and dessert was good. It was VERY loud.
