CASA HERRADURA FAMILY MEXICAN RESTAURANT

I recently visited this Mexican restaurant and tried the chicken and shrimp fajita. The shrimp was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The chicken, however, was a bit too chewy for my taste, so next time I’ll probably stick with just the shrimp.

The service was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and quick, which really enhanced the dining experience. I also have to give a shoutout to the nachos, salsa, and queso—they were phenomenal and definitely worth having as starters. Overall, a great spot with tasty food and excellent service.

Decent

I would love to give this restaurant the award for best shrimp tacos in the Richmond surrounding areas! I mean they are absolutely delicious! The service is always just as amazing as the food! Highly recommended!!

Our go-to Mexican restaurant in the area!

They have great Mexican food for the East Coast (and I say this as someone from Southern Colorado). The San José special and quesabirra tacos are some of my favorites. My wife also tried the fajitas the other day and the chicken was great! Almost wish I could have that chicken on the arroz con pollo.

Very kid friendly and reasonably priced as well.

The food was so blah, flavorless, falling apart and memorable only for its overall lack. Favorite standards like tableside guacamole, chile relleños, tamales, soggy chalupa and tacos and enchiladas verdes should be so much better. This was sadly the very definition of MEHxican food. Sad to drive 12 hours only to finish the day with this dinner. Two hungry travelers that left their plates quite full and stomachs still wanting.

Love going here!! Every time we visit Ashland from NC, we have dinner here, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the service is amazing! The staff is super friendly!

The tableside guacamole was outstanding. We requested no jalapenos and the cilantro was fresh and avocados were ripe. The tamale sauce was perfect. The Service was very professional and very fast. The tres leches cake was the moist version and perfectly textured. 5 stars!!
