This was my first time eating at this establishment. I googled restaurants near my location at the time and saw they had really good reviews. It was breakfast time and rather packed, but I didn't have to wait a very long time for my food. I love fried oysters, so I ordered the Tappahanock Bennie. It was fried oysters on an English muffin topped with a poached egg and hollandaise. It was served with a good portion of hash browns, and I ordered a side of grits and orange juice...

We came here for post-graduation celebration breakfast and the servers were so nice and welcoming. We got to a table as soon as we walked in and service was fast and efficient. Food tasted good and refillable coffee was such a plus. Definitely a welcoming and hearty breakfast spot! 10/10

Rise and shine is one of (if not THE) top places for me to get breakfast/brunch. The food is always FANTASTIC (the things I would do for their cinnamon roll pancakes…) and truly top notch service. My friends and I make a point get breakfast here once a month for the past few years and have never been disappointed. Even when they are super busy the food is excellent and the folks working there are hardworking and very kind. Anytime anyone asks for my opinion on where to get...
