Such a cute place! We look forward to weekends to pop into La Madeleine’s after morning errands. It’s really charming and cozy, and the food is always so yummy and filling. Nothing better than sitting by the cobblestone fireplace with a warm coffee and chatting with a friend/loved one, getting some work done, or reading your book.Only downside is the service, which can be spotty. I don’t think I’ve ever had a great costumer service experience here. But I don’t go here to be chatted up and I don’t mind just ordering and being done with interactions.. but there have been times where the people cleaning the bathroom (because one of the two is out of service), is chatting on the phone while we wait to use it (over ten minutes), or the don’t get our order correct and when we inform them that we only received one of the two things ordered, the manager comes out and tells us we didn’t pay?? Which isn’t a big deal but the interaction feels kinda weird.Go for the cuteness and yummy food, just bring headphones if you go alone so you don’t feel so awkward when interacting with employees.. and don’t drink a bunch of coffee because you may have to wait for the bathroom.
This place has amazing management team, thankfully to Sonia and AlemI called management on the phone after because of my bad experience and Sonia made me feel like my concerns were Noted. Thankful to have a good manager like her listening for feedback. I look forward to coming back in giving them another shot now.Edit: today I came back and spoke to Alem and she was graceful and accommodating enough to help me let me with a five star. Very happy with manage and the last visit I’ve had and I look forward to coming back more often!

I bought almond cream croissants for $6 each, and when I got home and tried one, I realized it was old and had a strong smell of mold. ??? My daughter had eaten a lot of them before I noticed they were old. ??? I wanted to go back to the store and let them taste it so they could understand how they could sell something with such a disgusting taste. ??? But it's late now and the store is closed.

The friendliness of the service left me longing for a computerized ordering kiosk. Some eggs took 30 min to come out. The whole time my cappuccino was sitting on the counter, but the non-communicative person working the register and floor did not deign to say how this work. Later, she wiped our table while we were still sitting there.I ordered my cappuccino with almond milk, but I am pretty sure it was dairy.The place was noisy. Even in the mens' room, piped music competed with the language lesson.Parking: Nearby EV parking is the only reason I might return.
