First and last time at this place. The food was awful, bland, sloppy, and nothing like what’s advertised. Looked and tasted like it was thrown together by people with zero cooking skills. Absolute joke of a restaurant.

I have been to MJs several times and tried many items. It has always been good. Staff is attentive. Prices are comparable to similar restaurants.

I ordered chili bean soup, salad an bread. Horrible! The chili tasted and looked like canned chili from Walmart and was very pasty. The bread was not even grilled and the salad was tiny and thrown together. It was not work 10.00!

We have been visiting this restaurant since they opened and never had a problem but last night struck a nerve our waitress Amber was great and the food came out quickly and was delicious however I ordered a glass of wine which was good but when I ordered the next wine it was half full I asked the waitress if she could address this with the bartender (in a very nice way. No complaining) and she brought the glass back the same not sure why I would pay the same for less of a drink but apparently bartender Brittany wasn’t going to make it right Very disappointed. I hope management teaches her to treat customers with consistency

My sister-in-law and I are there yesterday!! The service was great, the food was also...we both gave the fries a 10...and the bbq pork and chicken sandwiches were very good....even the Cole slaw was!! Best of all was the price of 23.00!! We will be back to try some other menu items.

I ordered door dash and the restaurant gave them the wrong food order to deliver to me. When I realized the order was wrong I called the restaurant and told them the door dash driver was on the way back to get the correct order. When she arrived at the restaurant they hadn't even started making the food again for her to pick up. I guess they thought I'd just forget about the fact I ordered $30 of food and never got it. I understand they have a new Manager. Perhaps it's time for another change.

Been here twice. Nice, modern, clean environment. Had the same great waitress, Jenny, both times. Great menu. A wide selection of choices, but not so much that you worry about quality. Everything we've tried has been delicious and expertly prepared. This place is definitely on our repeat list. Excited to try their weekend brunch some time.

I believe they were way understaffed. The wait was supposed to be 30 minutes for dinner and there was already a foursome that had been there for 30 minutes and then they came out and told them it would be another 45 minutes. My husband and I sat at the barto waiting and have a beer. The bartender was extremely rude to the customers and to the manager who didn't say anything to her. They had no wine glasses so the manager started pouring wine into beer glasses. It was a great giggle watching the chaos . So we had one beer and then we left and that took about 20 minutes for us to get even a beer though there was only five people at the bar. So I can't tell you if the food was good or anything. We ended up driving into Lynchburg and going to McAdoo's

Well let’s start that it took over 90 min to get our food, had to constantly ask for drinks to be refilled (only after the entire table of eight glasses were empty), cheese sticks were not even melted in the middle, cheese fries barely had any cheese on them, and only after we asked the manager about our food it finally came out luke warm. Over salted meats, shrimp and grits barely even warm and food was not even prepared as we asked. You would think that management would take off some of our bill due to the issues but nope…..not one cent taken off. Ridiculous We only tried this place because liberty station was out of power and never again will I ever grace this place again with my business.

Hmm my old review is gone. It WAS a good one. Came here to update.
They are slipping. My prior visit wasn't as good as the ones prior. Most recent was yesterday as of this review was the worst.
They were not busy. Service was slow. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It came on a sub bun. Hardly any bbq sauce and falling apart. I had it before and it was fairly good but didn't expect great as this isn't a bbq place. At least the food was hot. Again service was slow. Poor fella at another table ordered before me and got his after Ate half it and left He looked to be on his lunch break and prob ran out of time.
While I was there a table of 4 came in and the waitress was much more upbeat than she was with either of us and I heard he tell them what they ordered normally comes with fries but they could sub for something else. I asked once when I first found this place and was told fries were the only option
May or not be back.
Note Place was better when I see the manager coming around checking on dinners I have not see him at all the last few visits Could be the further slip in quality
