Mi Patrón offers a mixed experience based on customer reviews. The food receives both praise and criticism. Some found the food top notch, with the queso birria tacos described as the best thing ever had in Bedford, and the chili relenos and taco Carne Asada Trio being favorites. However, other meals were disappointing: huevos rancheros was completely overcooked and drowning in sauce, and arrow con pollo was basically dry. Portion sizes were smaller than other Mexican restaurants, and prices are much higher, with one lunch costing almost 50 dollars. Service is inconsistent. One server was amazing, but another waiter’s whole attitude shifted after a 15% tip, and service was slow with no check-ins. The atmosphere can be really loud, too loud to think or talk. There were issues with price transparency, including a $4 charge for added mushrooms and onions without prior notice, and a condescending manager. The sweet woman at the checkout register was very sweet. The frozen margaritas are loved.
